What is happening to the country that my grandfather loved; that used to have a fighting spirit and supported our troops? What has happened to this once unquestionably moral Christian nation?
The core of America’s problems is the mentality that produces people who aid and abet the enemy, stabs our fighting men in the back, turns our police into “criminals,” and criminals into victims. We have become slaves to the liberal mindset: that a woman has the “right” to murder her child through abortion; that homosexuals have a “right” to get married; and that illegal aliens have a “right” to cut ahead of lawful immigrants. We live in an upside-down world where liberals have defined wrong as “right” and right as “wrong.”
You might work with them and laugh with them; some might even be your friends. But deep down, you understand that their ideas and misplaced ideals are ripping America apart. Yet you say, “It’s only a difference of opinion.”
I say it’s worse, I believe that liberals are working diligently to tear down the American family, the American church, and the American solider. Liberalism is a cancer that is eating away at our patriotism, and teaching others to hate this country. What are the prospects of a nation that has been taught to hate itself? The Trojan horse is in the city gates and everyday we wake up to traitors in our own country. Liberalism is the cancer of our time, attacking our culture, our morality, and our freedom.
Liberalism has infected ten percent of the population, which includes the arts, entertainment, labor unions, journalism, and most importantly, education. Teaching children anti-Americanism in the classrooms is how the left has operated for years. They have rewritten our history to fit their vision of the America they like to hate the most. Where are the stories about brave and courageous men like George Washington, Paul Revere, James Madison, and Abraham Lincoln? Liberals have thrown our American heroes out with the garbage.
Who is to blame? I blame the National Education Association. The NEA is the largest and most powerful teachers union in the United States, with more than 2.7 million members.
· NEA opposes any textbook that actually reflects American history and American culture.
· NEA strongly supports hiring of homosexual teachers.
· NEA opposes “English” only initiatives in school.
· NEA opposes genuine-abstinence based sex education.
· NEA spent millions of dollars in 1992 to elect Bill Clinton president and supported other liberal candidates for Congress.
· NEA is opposed to voluntary prayer in schools.
· NEA opposes the teaching of Creation alongside the theory of evolution.
These teachers are not educating our children, they are indoctrinating them. They are like one big commercial for the Democrat Party. The government has no constitutional grounds for being involved in education. We should abolish the Department of Education and the NEA.
The government censors those who wish to teach the truth. Teacher Stephen Williams exemplifies this point. Principal Patricia Vidmar, of Stevens Creek School (Cupertino, CA), ordered Williams to submit his lesson plans and handouts to her for approval in advance. Other than from Williams, a Christian, no other teachers were subjected to her advance-screening requirement. Vidmar then prohibited Williams from providing handouts to students about American history, because the historical documents contained references to God.
What were those handouts? Only excerpts from the Declaration of Independence, the diaries of George Washington and John Adams, the writings of William Penn, and various state constitutions.
If American schools can’t teach about George Washington and the Declaration of Independence, then I must ask this disturbed whackjob-liberal what in the hell country does she think she’s living in? To liberals, the Christian has become a bigger threat than the terrorists!
While radical Islam has declared war against Christians and Jews, along with anyone who does not believe in their “kill us or convert us” religion, our own government supports teaching Islam, and is using our tax dollars to do it!
According to a BushCountry.org article “Exposing Those Who Force Kids To Pray To Allah,” November 9, 2004, by Jen Shroder, President Bill Clinton wrote "Religious Expression in Public Schools," which was endorsed by atheist groups and co-drafted by the America Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and a friend of Hillary Clinton’s, Abdurahman Alamoudi — later arrested for terrorism and recorded in conversations of how to best bomb Americans!
Judge Phyllis Hamilton, a Clinton appointee, has ruled that teachers can require students to participate in Islamic religious practices because they do not believe they are Muslim. The simulation exercises state: "From the beginning you and your classmates will become Muslims," choosing a Muslim name, dressing up as Arabs, reciting lines from a Muslim prayer: "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful," (the actual words said over the beheading of Daniel Pearl and American soldiers); and making group banners that state, "In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate." The “simulation” requires students to give up something in demonstration of fasting for Ramadan. Nadine Strossen, President of the ACLU, refers to Clinton's guidelines as the authority to support the ACLU's lawsuits restricting Christmas celebrations and removing Nativity scenes from public schools.
What about religious expression for Christians? It does not exist in the eyes of the ACLU. This anti-Christian, anti-family secular organization wants to remove all references to God in America's government, schools and public property. They have successfully stopped “Silent Night" from being sung at schools, and prohibited the Defense Department from sponsoring Boy Scout troops. They forced a tiny Christian cross to be removed from the Los Angeles County seal, and got Nativity scenes on a courthouse lawn removed because they were “unconstitutional.”
I believe the ACLU is the most dangerous anti-American organization in this country. Founded by communist Roger Baldwin, the ACLU represents the lowest order of humanity. They are succeeding every day in undermining every traditional institution in America. Christianity, morality, and respect for authority are being challenged by this secular organization.
“Tolerance,” “diversity,” and “expression” are all code words used by the ACLU to subvert our culture; they are used to justify liberal beliefs and forcing others to accept them. In today’s society you have to be “tolerant” of pornography, gay marriage, and drug dealers, but not of Christians. You have to be “diverse” by teaching about every other culture except our own. You can “express” your opinions, but only as long as liberals agree with them. Because of insane “tolerance” we are moving more and more toward a less free and more controlled America.
Liberals have tried to silence the Christian voice in schools, churches, and government, and have nearly made it illegal for Christians to discuss their beliefs in public. A defining moment in our history came when a Ten Commandments monument was forcibly removed from the rotunda of the Alabama Supreme Court building. Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore chose to acknowledge God’s law above all others, and dared to talk about God in his writings and sayings. The price of being a Christian in government these days is paid with your job; in this case it was Justice Roy Moore’s job. But the majority of Christians were too busy and chose to stay home, while Moore was being hung out to dry by corrupt atheist judges. What you probably didn’t know is that the ACLU used your money to sue to have the 10 Commandments display removed, receiving close to half a million-taxpayer dollars.
By contrast, when the mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, illegally ordered City Hall to allow homosexual couples to obtain marriage licenses, even though doing so was in direct violation of California State Law, Attorney General Bill Lockyer had every right to prosecute Newsome for defying the rule of law that he’d vowed to defend, but the Attorney General did nothing. California law states that marriage is only between a man and a woman, but I guess when you bow down to the pink swastika in California, you are treated like a revolutionary instead of a lawbreaker.
Today’s America is not the country our founding founders sacrificed to protect and establish. They fought for freedom - freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to peacefully assemble, and freedom of religion. They did not fight for the ACLU to remove every Christian symbol and doctrine. They did not fight for abortion, gay marriage, and schoolteachers who rewrite our history. They fought for our foundations of a belief in God, freedom, a moral foundation, and the traditional family.
But the rights that men like my grandfather fought for are being denied everyday by people who espouse the first amendment and then hide behind it when it suits them. America needs less liberalism and more conservatism! We must not leave insane people in charge of our future. Liberals need help, and there are just enough mental institutions for them to receive treatment. They should all be sent to Guantanimo Bay Cuba and charged with sedition. Our founding fathers gave us a Constitutional Republic based on Christian principles. Not a Democracy based on a belief in yourself.
