Too bad it couldn't have been Douglas McArthur instead!

It would be extremely difficult to find a man of that caliber these days.
If there is one, its likely that they would be too smart to be a politician.

I think you have missed several of the Huckster's own spending sprees - He has begun/expanded more social programs on the state level than Clinton did.

You don't balance a state budget by proposing NEW spending that we don't have the tax revenue to pay for.

And don't forget - the governor has the power to veto legislation, including the budget. But instead, Huckabee chooses to sign anything that crosses his desk.

And lets not forget his free pen with freeing murderers and rapists from prison.

Rock is semi-conservative in regards to finances, but is a social liberal. I don't see that as a huge improvement.

Welcome to FR n00_B.
Hate to disappoint you, but Huck isn't on my "A" list for 2008.

Not at all. People said the same thing when Clinton first announced.

People said the same thing about Clinton when he announced. Of course Clinton had stiffer primary competition that Huckabee will, if he runs.

Thanks. Chances are your "A" may change between now and 2008. Lets see how things go.

I like "Huck" as a person, but I question a lot of his politics.

Time will tell though.
