So you thought AIDS was the worst of it? Think again. Now there is LVG among men who have sex with men.
This stems from Chlamydia and is just in it's beginnings in New York where there has been 2 cases thus far. It's medical name is Lymphogranuloma venereum and has been seen most in tropical climates until recently when 92 cases of it were reported in the Netherlands in one year. I wonder why???? According to New York's Department of mental health and hygiene commissioner, Dr Thomas Frieden this disease is often mis-diagnosed therefore there have been warnings and a champaign is to begin to alert the health care community.
LVG can be successfully treated with antibiotics but if left untreated there can be permenant damage to bowel and scarring of the genitals. Seems that in total there have been six cases in the USA. Nothing has been said as to where the other four are from. The thing that troubles me is that this well educated doctor, who is responsible for the health and welfare of inhabitants of a city the size of New York, has nothing more brilliant to say than suggest that "this is an opportunity to reiterate the need to practice safe sex"
Why is there no mention of the opportunity to reiterate the message of the Bible? What makes people so deaf and blind to the warnings of God concerning our lust of the flesh and what it will bring to us? How can we continue to block our ears and eyes to a Creator who has loved us enough to provide a manual on how to live safely? Why do we insist that God is being mean and unloving when He tells us what will occur should we disobey Him?
Homosexual men have brought nothing good to this world in the conduct of a perverse behavior and addiction. They have been the conduit of Hell through which all manner of immoral filth can travel and reach our young and impressionable children. I do not care how many 'sir' whatever's there may be or how many masters of brush and canvas might arise they are all wasted effort if the momentary pleasures of this world is their chief ambition. There is only one Master for me and His name is Lord Jesus the Christ.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it chlamydia that is going around amongst high school girls? I've also read reports detailing that throat gonorhea is becoming prevalent amongst school kids as well.
Quarantine......yes, I think that's a good idea. I often wonder how many of these people are working in restaurants, for example?

I agree that God gave us warnings, and a guide to healthy living, a way to live freely, but safely. There is danger with too much freedom, and as we can see, those who are taking their freedom to the extreme are in fact destroying it.
I also agree that thumping these godless sinners over the head with the bible will do no good, and we are better off to heed God's words concerning that as well. God only wants to know those who come to him freely, not by force. Therefore, your (and mine) adherence to the path toward our salvation is what we should make sure we follow first and formost, and just try help those who come looking.
Of course, this does not mean we as Christians should should sit idle, and watch OUR society crumble. It is after all the society WE (or rather our Christian forefathers) founded, so we should strive that it remains that way as well. We don't need to preach the bible in order to do that. We can make use of secular methods.
If you read the report, it's a disease which is SIMULAR to clamydia, not clamydia itself. It was origionaly found in Gay's and is being spread around in Gay and their hetro friends group, and now has made it's way to NY, through GAYS.
Originated and spread with gays, and soon to find it's way into regular hetro sexuals.
I agree with the other post which says those people should be quarantined, but it's probably far too late.
You mention Clamudia among teens, as well as strep.
Those were noramal diseases that have been around for a century. The reason they are on the rize again among teens in school is because of the open sexual life styles being taught in the schools.

A common sense solution, for sure. Which the ACLU would never allow, in fact they have stated so. Quarentine is agains constitutional rights. GRRRR
No, free will created gays, not God. We all have free will. To say that gays have no control over their behavior, is to say when a woman sleeps with a man out of wedlock, she has no control over that.

They are because, just like other fields, including medicine, their privacy over rides public health interests! Not right, but true!
