Roger Baldwin, the first director of the ACLU, was a communist. He explains in his book, Liberty Under the Soviets, “I joined. I don’t regret being a part of the Communist tactic, which increased the effectiveness of a good cause. I knew what I was doing. I was not an innocent liberal. I wanted what the Communists wanted…”
William Z. Foster, then National Chairman of the Communist Party USA and an ACLU co-founder, is famous for this 1932 quote: “The establishment of an American Soviet government will involve the confiscation of large landed estates in town and country, and also, the whole body to forests, mineral deposits, lakes, rivers and so on.” He was the author of Toward Soviet America.
Another co-founder was Harold J. Laski, renowned English socialist and political scientist. Among his writings is the Communist Manifesto of Marx and Engels: with the original text and prefaces.
Rev. Harry Ward, the “Red Dean” of the Union Theological Seminary in New York City was Chairman of the ACLU in 1920. In 1908, he was the founder of the oldest, officially-cited Communist-front group in America, the Methodist Federation for Social Action. A year later, he played a part in organizing the Federal Council of Churches, forerunner of the present day, National Council of Churches....

Can any of the Freeper-Corps help me to remember the organization that "battles" the ACLU in court?? They've been on O'Reilly's show at least a few times...the one that sticks out in my mind is the case that the BoyScouts had about being able to use Public Parks and Schools for their meeting places????
These folks may be able to provide some legal groundwork for Jay777 in this project!!
A powerful anti-ACLU ad could use the above picture with a red circle and slash through it with the words "All We Hold Near and Dear" above it and the words "Banned By The ACLU" below it!!!
Is it the ACLJ?
I can't say that it was someone from there or not...I don't think that it was, but I am by no means positive on that.
I've researched abit here and there trying to find something that would trigger my memory but without success so far...it's driving me nuts though!
On O'Reilly right? I'm pretty sure it was Thomas More Law Fund!
I was just looking at the links above and I'm going to say that it was someone from the Alliance Defense Fund that he had on his show...I'll try and find some verification.
