"Thanks for the heads up. I travel VA frequently. I guess I'll have to find another route that bypasses VA.
GE"

Sorry to hear you won't be coming to our beautiful state, but your statement brings up a good point.
I wonder if they thought of the fact that they will lose money from people like you and other future tourists?

Virginia is beautiful, and almost as long to drive across as Texas!
I do understand the need for traffic control, and I don't advocated eliminating it, but it should be for traffic control not revenue generation.
I grew up in Mississippi. Actually speeding had less to do with getting a ticket than what you drove. I always hated that because you never knew when you would get a ticket.

Hopefully Virgina will work this out.

Cordially,
GE

VA is terribly wide (as states go), and the ONLY way you can bypass it is to drive all the way to Kentucky and Tennessee, and cross the Appalachians two times.

Virginia could very well live on the revenue to be taken from lawbreaking travelers should the need ever arise.

I'll pass the idea along to my old buddy (and State Senator) Dave Albo for consideration.

Of course not...........just as they didn't think of it when introducing SB 1191... a total ban on smoking (tobacco) in PRIVATE businesses.

Of course the idiot RINO that put it in is in NoVA and has absolutely no clue what damage he is going to do to the tourism industry of the Eastern Shore if this materializes.

I've only lived here 2 summers but was coming down from Delaware for more than 5. The increase in folks that used to vacation in Delaware prior to the smoking ban there is unbelievable.

This stupid speeding bill is going to do even more damage here on the shore.......There's only one way to get to Virginia Beach on this side of the Chesapeake Bay.

I doubt that many folks will bypass our state 'cuz of this legislation, but it still stinks to high heaven. We already are one of the few states that've outlawed radar-detectors, and we're not that far removed from the days we usedta have toll booths on I-95.

Hope you and TNT are doing well...MUD
