If you have a shop vac, and can access your system, you can attach a device similar to a chiminey sweep.
As soon as the contractor starts the duct cleaning at the hospital, I'll have more info, and maybe can tell you exactly how to build one, or how to adapt something.

In reverse, maybe..but you could possibly install a hepa filter at the intake and work backwards.
I wouldn't blow all that stuff into the house.
