What are the chances any of these retards will apologize for fearmongering when Bush DOESN'T start the draft again?
To: NEPA
The hatred of the left results in their abandoning all reason The far left is dangerous, or would be if they ever achieved power. The kind of unreasoning hatred that is expressed on DU every day for a despised class of people is the same kind of hatred that simmered in Europe for decades and finally led to Auschwitz and the "final solution".
The normal people of the U.S. can never allow the radical left to take control of our government, even if it means armed resistance to stop it from happening.

Why don't you? It's free, and it's fun. You can actually get some conservative points across, if you follow these simple little rules:
Build your post count up before going too hard at it.
Never try to win the argument, you can't. State your case, defend it a time or two, let it die.
Throw in some insults to "*" and the "Repukes", especially if you are giving an opinion that is too hard right.
Stay away from discussions on abortion and the Iraq war. They are really intolerant there. Israel/Palestine is much easier to stay within the bounds.
Spend time in the Lounge to build up your post count. Describe your cats, even if you don't have any. Recipes are good.
USE THEIR OWN PRINCIPLES AGAINST THEM. Where they want to talk about a new tax or restriction on your rights, phrase it as "Liberals are about freedom".
Using these rules, I have posted well over 2000 posts without getting banned, although I am sure there are a number of DUers who are convinced I'm a LOUSY FREEPER TROLL, which I am.

I've never seen Freepers disown their children or cut off their relatives simply for being liberal. My liberal boyfriend also has a much harder time accepting my politics than vice-versa. I think it has to do with the fact that with public education and Hollywood and TV, conservatives are regularly exposed to liberals, but it's very easy for liberals to grow up in a liberal echo chamber.

My mother is becoming more christian fundamentalist by the day. She is totally brainwashed. My wife will probably have to restrain me when the rest of the repugs in my family get in the same room with me. I have avoided them for decades. And they haven't missed you at all. And that just tweaks you a bit, doesn't it?.

Why don't you? It's free, and it's fun. I may do just that, it does sound like it would be fun. Although I know that it will be difficult for me to hold my tongue, or typing fingers in check. But I will give it a try and see what happens.
I know that "playing the game" as you describe is certainly what the dummies from dummie land do when they infiltrate the Free Republic. At least the smarter ones do, the dumber ones can't last more than a post or two before they give themselves away, usually by the use of profanity.

That is some juicy stuff from the hate-America street filth.
This week during the Inauguration I am going to have a hard time not telling these people to go to hell while I am celebrating.

So the key to credibility at DU is post-count (with a secondary emphasis on toadyism?)?
That's like the sphincter-sniffing phrase I encounter at another lefty site I agitate at - the proper affirmative response to anything anyone writes is "You're a true progressive!" (Now say it like you mean it!)

ROFL!
F*ck you you stupid jingoistic no balled bastards!"
Now now...just because your nominee was a no-talent assclown doesn't call for lies. We are 'ballsy bastards', not no balled bastards...
It's very hard not to blame them. All the information was out there before the election and they still voted for him.
Hmmmm...a traitor who hates America who I differ on literally 100% of the issues or someone I can at least agree with some of the time...
I feel a lot of them voted the way they did out of selfishness and/or hatred. Vote away your chance at health care and send your kids to Iraq just to be sure gays can't ever get married...
I'm going to type this real slowly so even dumb and dumber at DU can understand.
1. The problem with health care is too much government.
2. John Kerry support the Iraq War
3. Gays wern't my top issue. John Kerry's treason and liber/slander(both) of my dad was. Got it? Punks?

I am more than willing to meet these blowhards in the public square. They better bring help! It has been my experience it usually takes about 3 of them to our 1. After studying the county by county vote I'm a-feared they will soon run out of back-up. LOL

The main point of trolling for me, is to never agree with a "progressive" position, and still not get banned. Others seem to like to egg them on, but I don't think they require it. It's like helping the sun to rise.

Toadyism? I don't know. I figure you're lying anyway by even being there if you're conservative. But I've never yet taken a liberal position on any of my posts. I am not a Republican, I am an independent conservative with libertarian leanings, so I don't mind bad-mouthing the Republican party or Bush, occasionally. It's what you bad-mouth them about that counts.
Nobody at DU understands irony, as far as I can tell, although they're pretty good at sarcasm.
Yes, post count really does matter. You have a lot more latitude after 1000 posts.

I guess I don't understand your post (or maybe your position)
A toady is someone who curries favor by (false) flattery. If you are admittedly there under false pretenses, and you never take liberal positions, what are you doing there?

I too am about to visit family for the first time in over a decade. I am not sure I will be able to hold my tongue. My mother is becoming more christian fundamentalist by the day. She is totally brainwashed. My wife will probably have to restrain me when the rest of the repugs in my family get in the same room with me. I have avoided them for decades.
And they want to call us a cult? This is the definition of cult. You remove yourself from all people of your former life, and surround yourself only with your new "family".

are you aware of "DU COMIX" ?
To: AxelPaulsenJr
How about this..did her mother in law even talk about politics in the first place when she arrived at her sons home!.
Anyone who would be so confrontational toward their mother in law probably doesn't like them anyway and probably wanted the mother in law to go to the Hilton to begin with but didn't have the guts to say so.
Starting an argument is a nice way to accomplish this.
I know a few shock trauma nurses who work with my sister in law and they are Bush voters.
I wonder if the DUmbass would refuse medical help from one of the Bush voting nurses if they had to go to shock trauma.
