Look, you and they come at things from entirely different prospectives. You would need to understand their underlying assumptions (premises) before you "debate" them. If one accepts their premises, one might accept their conclusions. They will cling fanatically to their unexamined premises, so it's useless to "debate" them. The reason they hate Rush and Ann, is that they beat liberals at their own game, rather than engage in a rational examination of facts, choices and alternatives, they just ridicule and belittle them.

As long as you try to debate them you lose. No sooner do you run one of their crackpot ideas to ground, than they change the subject or introduce new and astonishing facts to bolster their arguments. If it weren't for the internet Micheal Bellesiles would be teaching "history" at Emory today.

And if you do manage to catch them in a glaring contradiction or absurdity, they go nuclear and call you a "racist", "nazi" or some other epithet. The "debate" shifts from their crackpot ideas to an ad hominem attack on your character.

(I have found that when people attack Israel, if I say "Your are right. It ist da Joos vats to blame." they give me wide berth. BTW, I'm like totally WASP.)
