The 2nd Round is over and only the most snotty, annoying, arrogant, condescending, loony left kooks have made it to the "Sweet 16". This means that the quest for the coveted "Walter Mondale Trophy" which will be given to America's Most Annoying Liberal Pundit is getting even harder.

You can see all the results to date, including a link to the updated and interactive bracket, by visiting the "Results Page"

The 2nd Round separated the wheat from the chaff, or to put it more appropriately, the really arrogant and annoying from the "merely" arrogant and annoying. However, the 2nd round did provide some major surprises, mostly in the Gore Region.

So come with us as we briefly review the 2nd round and look ahead to some amazing "Sweet 16" matchups. By the end of next week we will have our "Final 4"

McGovern Region

In the McGovern Region, things pretty much held to form, with 4 of the top 5 seeds advancing. Dan Rather, the 3rd seed has the most momentum, given that he announced his retirement due to "Rathergate" just prior to the tournament. He'll be facing Bill Maher, the 2nd seed, who may be handicapped by the fact that the season of his pedantic, smarmy show "Real Time" has ended. But we're sure most of you will remember just how offensive he really is.

The pundit with the hardest job is James Carville, the #5 Seed, who is going to try and climb the mountain, or in this case, the massive cellulite, of #1 seed and overall favorite Michael Moore, who has thus far treated his opponents like mere appetizers at the "All you can eat" buffets he obviously frequents. Carville's going to have to channel Luke Skywalker to knock off Jabba the Hut, but we're sure James will give it his best shot.

Dukakis Region

In the Dukakis Region, the seedings held true to form, as the top 4 seeds all advanced relatively easily. But this round is where things really start to tighten for all the contestants. Carville's exceedingly annoying loser buddy Paul Begala, a 4th seed (who ended the quixotic run of the brain dead Arianna Huffington) will have his hands full with Hollywood reject, Al Franken, the region's top seed, who easily knocked off aged news fossil Molly Ivins in the 2nd round. Bring oxygen to this match as these two gasbags will surely stink up the room.

In the other match loudmouth liberal Chris Matthews, the 2nd seed will take on the epitome of a socialist, blue-state, hateful snob when he clashes with Eric Alterman, the #3 seed. We wonder if MSNBC will provide the venue for these two slimy pundits to duke it out.

Gore Region

The Gore Region is providing the tournaments biggest surprises. One match will feature the "giant killers" Ron Reagan, Jr., the 6th seed who has disposed of his opponents as if they weren't there - sort of like Reagan, Jr.'s brain. We shudder to think what his Dad must be thinking. He's likely in heaven pleading with God to grant his son a clue on life. The prodigal son will be taking on the lunatic lefty Janeane Garofalo, whose victory over fellow conspiracy theorist - the 2nd ranked Keith Olbermann - was decided by only 5 votes. But no one begrudges this whack job her place among the most vile pundits, as she's certainly earned it.

But the winner will have a difficult time knocking off the winner of the other regional semifinal match. The ferret faced #1 seed Paul Krugman has dispatched his opponents as easily as he ignores truth and facts in his columns. He'll be facing a tough match, and likely think he's looking at the female version of himself when he takes on the screeching buffoon Eleanor Clift, the 5th seed.

Kerry Region

Finally in the Kerry Region, no one has yet shown they have the testicular fortitude to take out the #1 seed, Maureen Dowd, whose latest columns have become increasingly nonsensical and incoherent - even for her. (Now that's saying something). Perhaps she's sad because it's the anniversary of the time of year Michael Douglas dumped her for Catherine Zeta-Jones. However, we think that the 5th seed, Lawrence O'Donnell is up to the task. He has shown surprising strength in defeating his early round opponents, and if there's a man who is as annoying and maddening as Dowd - O'Donnell is it.

The other regional semifinal features a slugfest between two lefty head cases who think they have the pulse of America's pop culture - Jon Stewart, the #2 seed who will be taking on the ever hateful Frank Rich, the #3 seed. We can't wait to see how that one turns out.

Make sure you're with us next week when we start the Sweet 16 matches. By the end of the week we will know who the "Final Four" will be. Things are heating up, so don't forget to be with us next week and register you vote for the "Most Annoying Liberal Pundit".

Were you really hacked? The difference is all in the URLs.

Correct: http://www.crushkerry.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=88

Fake (with "I don't like you" message): http://www.crushkerry.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=88""

It looks like the only difference is the 2 quotation marks at the end of the fake one. Your link in this article has those quotation marks at the end of the URL.

Hmm, interesting. How is it then that the message "I Don't LIke You" came up? This is puzzling. Either way I'm glad the link was fixed.

When you find out who did it, please tell him that I don't like him, either! :oP

It's not fixed. Both webpages are coexisting on the internet. Try hitting both links, and you'll see.

Maybe you can keep the bad page and URL, and then we can make the message into a link to the real "Crush Kerry." We could make a link in FR posts to the message, or post the fake URL, and give it to trolls during a live ZOT.

Your traffic would increase. :o)
