Moreover, you've taken to disparaging all others who disagree with you.

Is that something new?

Earth to Mr. Martin! If a media personality known for his abrasive and insulting comments finds himself without a large public target, as Savage does after the demise of the Kerry campaign, you switch fire to an even larger target, guaranteed to attract notice, i.e. President Bush. Drudge did the same thing after Bush won in 2000. All of a sudden he'd post accusatory stories about the administration and the president. Savage is following the same road. It's always about ratings and/or readers.

"but he is a president of whom conservatives can and ought be proud."

Then I guess I'm not a conservative. I don't think doubling the Dept of Education budget is conservative. I don't think handing out pills to seniors as part of the largest expansion to Medicare has anything to do with an "ownership society". I don't think amnesty for illegals is a good idea. I don't think taking the country of origin labels off food is a good idea. I don't think raising the debt limit another $1,000,000,000,000 is fiscal discipline. I don't think Bush should be in Canada thanking them for stabbing us in the back over Iraq. I don't think a scholar on Soviet communism is necessarily the best choice for Sec of State. I don't think the PATRIOT act and the TSA champion individual liberties. I don't think the 9/11 Commission or the Homeland Security department have done anything to keep us safer, they have however succeeded in punishing law-abiding American Citizens.

In my opinion, other than the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, George Bush has acted like a mainstream Democrat searching for bigger government and pushing globalist agendas like NAFTA and FTAA.

Of course, the author of this piece obviously isn't aware of what Savage had to say about the new Homeland Security Department Secretary nomination.

I love Savage's show, but its been LOW quality for about month now after the election. Every single thing is criticized and he has not offered one solution, not a single one. I can agree with him that Bush is screwing us on the Intelligence Bill, but saying that Condi Rice is not qualified to be Secretary of State is inept.

Bump for Savage, and may his show keep growing and growing.

Mike Savage is a lunatic. I'm increasingly surprised by the amount of people who don't recognize this.

Liberals say that Michael Moore is their Rush Limbaugh. Wrong. Rush is partisan, but not nuts, and doesn't lie. Michael Moore is their Michael Savage, and conservatives should realize he's just as nuts and just as distructive to our side as Moore is to theirs.

Savage would probably be imperial leader of the Klan if he wasn't worried about his ratings. His hatred of Rice is merely because of her race and his anti-Bush rants are b/c he's a radical lunatic.

I'm not sure where I stand in relation to the Martin-Savage debate re President Bush, but I'd love to hear these two go at it on the air. Has anyone ever heard Mr. Martin on the radio or seen his website, http://www.thevanguard.org ? He could hold his own against Savage. Let's do all we can to keep this thread active so Savage and his screeners can't avoid it. Keep all Savage related posts on this thread.

Savage is awesome, and he is willing to turn the ship around after thinking things through. Remember when he initially sided with the greens on oil drilling in ANWR, buying their argument that the "pristine" nature of the frozen north was a crucial value in itself (i.e. that not even the smallest environmental impact could be justified by national interest)? Then a couple of months later he was blasting the greens for their stupidity on ANWR. Yay Savage. Give the man a chance. He has challenged those who disagree to come on his show. An eminently qualified personage has taken up the challenge. So when is the date?

Michael is going on about rap today. Can't disagree with him there. However, as for Condi, early in the Bush administration I remember him making all sorts of comments about her lack of qualifications.

Savage was the first to air the ads of the Swift Boats, and that helped Bush win the election. He knew Kerry would be a disaster, and said so.

One reason he is hated so much, is that he dares to go against Bush's open border policy. Savage has finally done what many of us has done - given up thinking that America has a future. Well it has a Mexican future, that's for sure. I think Savage knows it and doesn't care who he insults. Neither do I.

Good luck with this. He's new in Chicago as of November. I called the jerk off's show on Tuesday (12/07) to challenge his constant assertion that he is the "only one supporting the troops" yet he sees fit to talk about his "dark vision" of the last helicopter out of Baghdad. He posed an illogical question to me, I hesitated to THINK about what he asked and he hung up on me and told me to "eat some Wheaties or fish oil." It was clear to me then, as a new listener (already former), that he is just trying to sell his stupid book and other crap he has for sale. He could tell I was going to make a point that contradicts his asinine opinion and instead of an intelligent discussion, he framed a question to me using the bad logic called "begging the question." I can't answer yes or no when I do not agree with his faulty premise. He SCREAMED AT ME, then repeated his question. When I said "Ah..." CLICK, he hung up. What a blow hard! I don't listen anymore. He has nothing to offer unless you like to listen to an insane person struggle with reality. I hope he goes away soon. I have a "dark vision" of him being replaced by Teri O'Brien's local show, or having Sean Hannity on at 5:00 p.m. instead.

This is the most recent Savage thread (I believe) so I'll post this comment here.

Some kid calls and starts ranting that Kerik was never fit to be head of HS because he's "basically a high school dropout" and a "3rd grade detective."

Savage responds that the "high school dropout thing bothered me, too, as highly educated man who worked very hard for all I have..." blah de blah de blah. Then someone must have kicked him because backpedalled like a dog on ice.

I'm livid. I'm a high school dropout, in a college educated world (Read some of my posts - the serious ones - and tell me if you would ever have guessed). You have no clue how tired I am of being thought unworthy of this, that, or the other thing. I don't think you can really know hard work until you've had to make your way without a formal education in today's world.

F***K you, Michael Savage. And incidentally, I was accepted to MIT, were you?
