If a media personality known for his abrasive and insulting comments finds himself without a large public target, as Savage does after the demise of the Kerry campaign, you switch fire to an even larger target, guaranteed to attract notice, i.e. President Bush. Drudge did the same thing after Bush won in 2000. All of a sudden he'd post accusatory stories about the administration and the president. Savage is following the same road. It's always about ratings and/or readers.
