In what may be the most shocking news to emerge from the already stunning Oil-for-Food scandal, investigators say that Saddam Hussein bankrolled key al-Qaida players in the late 1990s - a period of time when the terror group was planning the 9/11 attacks and the Iraqi dictator was ripping off billions from the U.N. program.
"Saddam had given $300,000 in cash to Ayman Al Zawahri, Osama bin Laden's number two man, in the spring of 1998," the Weekly Standard's Stephen Hayes told WABC Radio's Monica Crowley on Saturday.

Sad. MSM will certainly not make a big deal over it. Some channels may make mention of it real quick then go to a commercial break, can't have Americans start to think. Though I truly am beginning to wonder how many even want to think.
Besides it just appears many American are not capable nor willing to indulge in serious thought when it comes to things other then what channel they must turn on as the waddle from the kitchen with bags of junk food and drinks. It is worse then some of us might think, as how removed the majority of Americans are from a balanced view of world and American politics etc.. They don't care, just give them something to growl at.......hey read my lips.........hey where are all the WMDs at hay....tell me snicker........oooh go fly a kite, Saddam was not involved with any terrorist group..............hey GWB you dope.........so the mission was successful........well tell us why our boys are still in Iraq.......ha pres. tell us................ooooh gee, I don't really have time to listen I must change the channel so that me and the kids can watch some great cop show as lots of people get killed and we can try to figure out who did what to whom.
The MSM and TV broadcasting/Madison Avenue, Hollywood have done their jobs well folks.
