Racist Coach makes Racist Statement about Steve Spurrier

Sophomore quarterback Syvelle Newton wasn’t available for comment on Monday. But his high school coach said he feared Holtz’s departure, coupled with the today’s arrival of Steve Spurrier as his replacement, will mean a position change for Newton.

“We all know what Spurrier likes to see in a quarterback: Tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed,” Marlboro County High coach Dean Boyd said. “I fear it’s not going to be good for Syvelle. Syvelle’s a good college quarterback, but he isn’t the kind of quarterback (Spurrier) would go for.”

The guy that made this statement, Dean Boyd, is coach of the Marlboro County(SC) Bulldogs. It is a racist statement. Lets bombard the email of the Marlboro County School District and let them know this WONT be tolerated especially in Sports where young kids look up to the players and coaches. The email adress is below.

I will always wonder why 2 white players, a quarter back and a tight end that were enticed to sign with Notre Dame transferred out after 1 year. They were brothers from Wayne, NJ. The quarter back signed under a white coach who was fired and replaced by a black coach. One year later his brother signed with Notre Dame and both transferred out to Virginia and Miami respectfully before the season started.

What was up with that?

In Notre Dame's case, the two coaches ran radically different systems. Football players are recruited not just for their talent, but for how they'll fit (i.e. passing QB vs option QB, primarily blocking TE vs primarily receiving) in the coach's system. Big time college football caoches are going to recruit the players that help them win. It is a true meritocracy when the game is played, so coaches who don't recruti, retain, and play by how players help the team will soon fall by the wayside.

I see! The Notre Dame coach is trying to make the players play his game rather than letting his players play their game!

As Notre Dame has been in a downward spiral for the last 10 years I suspect that a change is coming!
