The fringe leftist group, International ANSWER has intentionally demonized our troops fighting in Iraq. I was informed today that ANSWER's website displays an altered image of our troops in Iraq.
John Brose, whom I met earlier this year in New York counter-protesting ANSWER) served in Iraq with the soldiers who have been maliciously misrepresented. He wrote me,
I looked up [ANSWER's] website to see what they had to say about Bush's re-election and us fighting terrorists in Fallujah. What I saw is a picture of two guys from my company, pulling security down a road during a raid we did back in Mosul. What they did was superimpose a picture of a little girl standing in front of one of our guys so it looks like he's pointing his weapon right at her. Now I know this guy pretty well, he's even worked under me at one point and I know he would never do anything like that.
Here is the image displayed on ANSWER's website:
And here is what the scene actually looked like (courtesy of Screaming Eagles Through Time):
This is incredibly disturbing that International ANSWER, which pretends to have the troops best interests at heart by demanding they come home, has intentionally denigrated our troops and thought it could get away with it.
Outraged? You should be. Perhaps you should let them know and demand they take the falsified photo down.
This cannot be allowed to continue !!!!!!!!!
I don't think its doctored. I'll go search for a match.
Getting tired of these doctored up photos. Emailing will only do so much. They are usually just deleted.
ping
If this is true, it's disgusting.
It looks cropped to me. But the motive is the same, that is to put the girl closer to increase the sense of danger to her from the viewers perspective.
Looks more like the photographer changed the lens focal length. What is supposed to look doctored?
And a different image.
While I would never take ANSWER's word if they told me it was day or night, those appear to be two different photos. The soldiers have different poses in each picture and it appears that the soldier is pointing us weapon only in the general direction of the girl, most likely well at the men you see in the second photo. If anything they cropped the Iraqis near the red car out.
Besides, there is literally NOTHING you can say to them that would change their minds. They hate America and they especially hate soldiers in Iraq. Don't waste your breath or time.
ANSWER is a commie front organization, just one of many interlocking operations well known for propaganda. I thoroughly debunked one of their bits of photo "evidence" during the start of the iraq war. They're commie propagandists and nothing they do surprises me.
What you say is correct, but.... In the larger photograph it is obvious that the little girl is curious, but she does not feel any appear danger. If she were afraid she could duck back behind the opening in wall. The smaller photograph does convey a sense of danger, the soldier seems to be pointing his weapon in her direction and she does appear closer.
ANSWER will never be bothered by disgruntled emails. We have to get them another way. Perhaps someone like the man saying he knew this photo was not real could launch a legal assault. We all know this group is a bunch of pathetic left-wing communists, but that's nothing.
