It may be true. I've heard people swear by NavyChief, but I think it sets a very dangerous precedent when anyone runs with a story based on "so-and-so said this and so it must be true, because he's never lied before. It will be proved later."
Mistakes can be made, and documents can be misinterpreted. We simply need to have verification so that we don't set ourselves up for a major embarrasment.
Someone could pose as NavyChief. Someone could pose as a former Secretary of the Navy. I will not apologize for my position if the story turns out to be true, but we don't need to be pulling a John Kerry and running with unverifiable stories.
the swiftees did one hell of a job, but unless there is a last minute explosion, I'm afraid that the "bad paper" that is probably in Kerry's jacket will go unexposed.

Just so you all know it's not just documentation but also the testimony of Kerry’s SECNAV at the time he was serving (It's not known at this time if the SECNAV will be attending). It’s to all be released as a bombshell on Sunday. We are currently discussing when the best time of day on Sunday it would be to have the event. I’m sorry for the lack of pdf’s to wave at you but this is really short notice and it has been breaking all day.
