HUGH HEWETT DECLINES OPPORTUNITY TO HELP CONSERVATIVES IN BOULDER, COLORADO.
The theater where it will show is quite a prominent location across from the University of Colorado and this is unusual for conservatives in the Boulder area to have such an opportunity.
Is Hugh afraid of the liberal bastions & only brave enough to show up for book signings with his conservative groupies?? This event will be attended by many of the faithful conservatives that actually live in the Boulder area. It is sad that Hugh doesn't understand the trenches that many of us fight in on a daily basis and isn't willing to come to support our efforts. It is sad that Hugh sits in his ivory broadcast tower and brags about his book and spouts his opinions -- but seems to back down when there might be a challenge. He fails to see that there also might be a convert in the midst of the challenge.
Isn't truth on our side, Hugh?? Then why not support the efforts of conservatives who are on the front lines? This is an unprecedented stance for Conservatism in Boulder & Hugh has lost much respect from many of us for not being willing to support our cause and fight. I never thought I would see that day that Hugh Hewett would back down from an intellectual discussion. But then I never thought I would see the day that I stopped listening to Hugh. The day has now come . . . for many of us in the Boulder area. Hugh is a chicken.
I'm not understanding. You thought up something for him to do and he's not doing it?
It's not like he promised to do this thing and is now backing out.
Has it occurred to anyone that he might have a scheduling conflict? I assume he's in Colorado for some reason.
And you're an idiot.
come over and wash my car.
I think it will be a great use of your time.
Don't want to? Doesn't fit your schedule?
You're a chicken!
I listened today... he was talking calls from service members about the missing weapons in Iraq. Very moving show.
So we OWN him, dammit!
Gee, your second post in two and 1/2 years. I hope we can count on the fact that you won't come back 'til 2007. Thanks.
There was no scheduling conflict. In fact, KNUS had sold the event to local sponsors & local promoters had ordered an ISDN line to accomodate the broadcast. Everything was a go until Hugh Hewett decided he couldn't handle Boulder and shot it all down.
Then let's go with the false presumption that it was a scheduling conflict . . . why not at least pay some respect to the Boulder, Colorado Republican & Conservative grassroots who were very supportive of this event? (Even though we were met at the door by Kerry-Edwards protesters).
Why is Hewett broadcasting in Colorado this week? The answer is to help attempt to push Pete Coors over the top & help the election effort . . . so why not show up in public and support an effort of your local affiliate, instead of only doing things that are solely focused on your book . . . or at least pay some give a "shout-out" on-air.
