It's time to discuss what every political pundit and newsperson around the country knows is going to happen on Election Day, or at least after the Electoral College meets, but refuses to discuss in public. John Kerry is going to lose the presidential election and it won't be nearly as close electorally as it was when Al Gore lost back in 2000. Why? Hillary. (Like Evita, Imelda, Monica, and other infamous First Ladies, you dont need to use her last name.) To be candid, its my opinion that Hillary cant and wont risk Kerry winning this presidential election cycle as she must have a clear field to pave the way for her to be the Democratic Party nominee in 2008 or she'll miss her only viable window of opportunity.
Kerry Must Lose
For the sake of discussion, let us assume Kerry wins next month. By definition, he then becomes the Democratic Party nominee for president in 2008. Yes, there have been situations in the past where the incumbent has declined to run for reelection--see Lyndon Johnson--but I seriously doubt in todays society that Kerry and his handlers would let a situation get so uncontrollable he would have no recourse but to announce his decision to not run for reelection. (Then again, Bill and Hill never did return those 900+ stolen FBI files.) Given this scenario, Hillary would not want to challenge an incumbent president in her own party for the nomination in 2008. After all, she must always give the appearance of a smiling team player even though shes anything but. Thus, a Kerry win next month would mean Hillary would have to wait until 2012. (By the way, Hillary will be sixty-five years old on Election Day, 2012.) No, its got to be, and will be, 2008.
One Term Senator
Furthermore, I predict Hillary will not run to keep her Senate seat for the good state of New York when her term is up in 2006. While no one can know for sure who the Republican opponent will be, my guess is it will either be Governor George Pataki or former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. I think shes guessing the same thing and she knows in a head-to-head contest with either of these real New Yorkers there is no way Carpetbag Clinton--damn, I used her last name--can win. However, this is only part of the reason why I believe Hillary wont be running for reelection to the Senate in 2006. Not only would a loss to Governor Pataki or Mayor Giuliani be devastating on the resume of a first term Junior Senator but remember that Hillary knows Kerry will lose on Election Day, 2004, and therefore she will have a clear shot at the Democratic Party nomination in 2008. In early 2006, Hillary will announce her decision to not run for reelection to the people of New York telling them instead shell be touring the country for the next year on a some fact finding mission for the children, which is Hillary-speak for starting a presidential exploratory committee. Then in 2007, shell announce to a fawning press that shell be seeking the Democratic Party nomination for president in 2008.
Kerrys Trojan Horse
How does Hillary know Kerry will lose on Election Day? Have you seen Kerrys inner circle lately? It looks like the White House during the Monica Mess (no pun intended). Is Kerry really so naïve as to believe Bill and Hills closest advisors are actually working to help him get elected? If I was inclined to give Kerry the benefit of the doubt, I would bring up the famous quote by Al Pacinos Michael Corleone character in Godfather II, [My father] taught me: keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." However, I think Kerrys made a tragic mistake in bringing in these advisors. I think Paul Begala, James Carville, Joe Lockhart may turn out to be his Trojan Horse. They are no doubt paying lip service to Kerry while secretly taking orders from Hillary, through a buffer, of course. Hillary must always have a buffer. Her family has a lot of buffers.
60 Minutes Redux
If Kerry should begin to surge in the polls by the end of the week, I expect some explosive piece of dirt about him (most likely about his four month war record, did you know he was in Vietnam) to be leaked via the Vast Left-Wing Cover-Up--that's 60 Minutes and company for those who haven't been paying attention lately. The release of this dirt will be made to look like it came from the Bush Camp (for example, Karl Rove by way of Dick Cheney and Halliburton...). Think it's too far-fetched a scenario? Think the tin-foil hat is pulled down too tight over my ears. Remember, those FBI files. Hillary must have an open field in 2008.
Electronic Voting
It was mentioned earlier that the electoral vote wouldnt be close but nothing was said about the popular vote. Unfortunately, I think the popular vote still might be close and once again there is a reason behind this madness. Since liberals recognize the tough time they would have in amending the U.S. Constitution to eliminate the Electoral College, they decided to start with a different approach back on Election Day 2000. Ever since, they have been using incremental steps to begin federalizing the presidential election process. The fiasco they created in Florida in 2000 has forced this years election to be performed electronically nationwide for the first time. (Yes, Al Gore created the 2000 Presidential Election fiasco. Liberals like to conveniently forget he initially called George Bush and conceded the election. Shortly thereafter, he called again and recanted. I wonder whom he spoke to in the interim.) As a result of electronic voting, there will not be a paper trail. No viable way to do a recount. Is it legal for me to take a camera into the voting booth so I create my own paper trail of the selection on my screen(s) before I click Vote?
Winning By Decree
The only remaining question left to answer this year, a year with some districts reporting over 100% of their voters registered, is how the legal system will be used to decide the outcome. I hope if its clear to either side that the other has won they will make the decent and honorable decision and concede the election. I believe Bush will do so, but Im not so sure about Kerry. After all, Al Gore set the precedent for the Democrats. Even if Kerry were to concede, I suspect there will be some districts where the vote will be very close and there is no doubt in my mind there are small groups in these hot-spots greasing up their lawyers to file lawsuits. Im confident the legal briefs have already been written, probably on both sides. Should Kerry win, then the briefs will find their way into a shredder. On the other hand, the moment these groups hear of anything less than a win by Kerry the lawsuit gets filed, which is exactly how Hillary wants it. The muddier the process gets, the more cumbersome the election laws become in 2008 when Hillary will be running.
Smartest. Woman. Ever.
Reread the above heading using the voice of Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons and add a hint of sarcasm. If youve never seen The Simpsons, your loss. The media gave Hillary the title Smartest Woman in the World, yet she "misplaced" her college thesis, flunked the DC bar exam back in 1973 and she chaired the Task Force on National Health Care Reform back in 1993, which was considered by most across this country to be a total failure. She rode the coattails of her husband from the Arkansas Governors Mansion into the White House and from the White House into the U.S. Senate. Though she is only a Junior Senator, many consider her one of the most powerful people in Washington, DC. I wonder why? Must be those damn FBI files, again.
By the way, Who hired Craig Livingstone? Hillary? No, the buffer. Haven't you been paying attention?

Emily will be a year old early next month. The old adage about time flies when you're having fun is definitely true. Thanks to the blessings of many my health is still doing very well (see Joe's Journey for more details if you're interested). If you don't hear anything regarding my health, well, assume no news is good news. I assure you if anything "bad" were to happen regarding my health I will get word to the freepers. Joe (MCM)
Here it is.
DSBull, you might be interested in the link to Joe's Journey, which I provided in the comment section above. A little bird pinged me to a comment you made in a thread the other day. You and I share something in common, which they thought I might find interesting. Have a look at the site and let me know if there's anything I can do for you. Joe (MCM)

The best solution to Hillary's political problems is for Kerry to win and appoint her Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
So that's what she's working toward.
Kerry is no where near in the same league of slime that the Clinton's are.
Something else to think about ping....
Unless she will be content with being appointed to the Supreme Court.
I've given up waiting for an October surprise for our side. It's all I've heard for months.
Joe, my friend! So good to hear from you. And it is obvious that your illness has not slowed you down at all! Great piece of work!
Speculation, yes, but very well-reasoned, IMHO.
If your are right (I think Bush will win without any help from the spawn of Satan), she will be easier to beat in 2008 if we all get to work and clean the voting registration rolls of illegimates, starting like Nov. 3, 2004.
I am so sick and tired of folks here thinking her thighness is electable.
Well, that and the fact that one may not start a thread without the Clintons being mentioned in one oblique or obvious manner.
Their sun has set.
With the Senate races expecting to yield at least 2 more seats to republicans and the house remaining in republican control.... Hillary has absolutely no chance in hell to ever get voted out of Committee
Exactly how do you know this? . . . Tho' I would certainly love for this to happen, at this point the polls seem to be all over the place I wouldn't place a buck on who's going to win.
However, what you say about Hillary makes sense. But I don't think the gop should 'rely' on her to carry W to victory just in case this isn't the case. But yes, 2008 is Hillary seemingly only shot to be prez. It'll be an open seat and after 8 years of W/a republican, people will be conducive to a "change." And I'm sure Hillary would much rather be potus than a supreme court justice (which some claim she wants)--she'd love to go down in history as the 1st woman pres., and there's more glory and prestige in that job than on the court.
If Kerry were to win, it'd likely spoil any plan of hers. And if he won re-election, then she'd have to contend with John Edwards, who I'm sure would want to run himself.
I would like to see Bush nominate her just so we can get her under oathe and dig into her life as a career criminal :-)
It makes sense, but ............
One thing certain is that Bush will win.
Stuff will come out on Kerry...
Where and how is the question that may not be answered.
If it is not answered, then it will likely be Hillary.
Hillary's briefs have a huge skidmark for John F'n Kerry.
I agree that Hillary would love to sit on the SC, but do you really think she'd get through the nomination process? I'm convinced that some deal was worked out between the Clintons and Kerry, but getting her approved by a Republican controlled congress seems like too much to promise. (GOD HELP US ALL IF IT HAPPENS THOUGH!!)
She'd still win the majority vote. And the media won't let her be filibustered- so she'd be approved.
Anyway, that's all I'll say on that. Hopefully Kerry will lose.
(MCM's thread won't be hijacked by me!)
Now that's highly debatable...
You and I have apparently been shopping at the same tinfoil store. BTW, you are very lucky regarding the women in your life.
I have series quantities of tin foil on hand for hat making at all times.
The fact that several MSM outlets reported on Kerry's repeated useage if the "missing explosive" attack as a lie was a significant turn of events against Kerry. I believe that it's all for the lovely Ms H. but I don't think that she is he main person pulling the strings. There is a devil, and he wants to influence political outcomes.
