Here are the three most likely, in my humble opinion:
1. John McCain switches his support to Kerry on the Friday before the election. He is offered the Secretary of Defense position (or replaces Edwards as Veep)
2. A Mysterious (Doctored) Tape appears with the Voice of W using the "N" word. A Few off-the-reservation Republicans go on the Sunday shows to say they've heard him use that language, too.
3. A woman alleged to have aborted W's child comes forward for the talk show circuit.
What Ol Sarge said!!
You gotta give me a little more to go on, if you want me to believe you have the inside scoop - just how will she "pull it off"?
Lautenberg/Toricelli.
Wellstone/Mondale.
Florida Y2K.
Election laws mean nothing. But timing is everything.
She Who Must Not Be Named will not debate. Her performance off-script has been mentioned on several FR threads in the past - to say nothing of her unnanouced appearence at the 9-11 Concert in October '01.
So, the window is present, though closing fast, for a Torch-style bait-and-switch to be performed. With Kerry and GWB within the statistical margin for error, Her popularity with Socialists and women could send the election over the top.
Most of the Left are voting not "for" Kerry, but voting "against" GWB. The entry into the race of The Smartest Woman In The World, who will play the victim, race, gender, class warfare, and anti-Bush cards like a riverboat gambler, woudl probably turn the vote for Her.
Most of this is observation and informed speculation, I admit, but I have maintained that She Who Must Not Be Named was supposed to be in the White House by now, but the bimbo eruptions and the impeachment forced the DNC to put Gore up instead.
