Have you folks heard of the Constitution Party?

Have you folks heard of the Constitution Party? www.constitutionparty.com Principal can be very hard to discern in politics. I just know that if the constitution party really had a chance to win they would definitely get my vote. This is a party of mostly Christians that uphold the constitution, guided by the Holy Bible, as the ultimate law of the land.

You have a choice betweentwo prostitutes, one has AIDS, the other has Hep-C, choose one.

Perfect, NOW you have identified the two major parties on this country! LOL

Good analogy, much better than the one you pretended I made.

Just as well. I don't think you're self-righteous enough to compete at that level. I know I'm not.

"The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law"

wonder which parts.
the gluttony laws?
the adultery laws?
the slaying of sacrifices?
the sacking of churches whenever graft is present?

or the part where Jesus separated religion from state, rendering unto Caesar what was due, while leaving personal matters of individual faihfulness (as in tithing and offerings) up to God.

IMO, this is the problem with folks who obsess over directly inserting their 'biblical' principles or values into our government. Their idea of 'biblical' may not be the same as mine. Kinda like the talban, who want their 'holy scriptures' to be the law for everyone else. This kind of political/religious fusing of meaning, rather makes most americans rather uncomfortable.

I think I will stick with the republican party.

You still don't get it.
But you just showed why your analogy in 252 is wrong.
"Perfect, NOW you have identified the two major parties on this country!"

You just admitted that you were referring to Bush as hitler.

Why isn't it an option? Because YOU say so?

This may be YOUR level of "understanding",it may be YOUR idea of what the two American major political parties are,it also may be YOUR idea of how to couch a debate,to get others to see things as YOU and the wee number of others do;however,it is a rather disingenuous and banal way.

Let's,for the moment, say that your childish analogy was,in fact, what we are faced with in this election cycle. You and the few fringers vote their "principles".The Nazi or the Communist would still win the election and you all would be killed. That is,after all, what both the Nazis and Commies do to their opposition.

You are the "obtuse" person;not those who oppose your fringe of the fringe of the fringe ideas.

The liberal Democrats do in fact favor the bloated, bueaucratic welfare state. They enjoy keeping taxes high, keeping their "constituents" happy (among them includes the unrelenting hordes of the aliens, welfare addicts and a whole host of lesser lights) and expanding social programs with little hint of fiscal responsibility. Look at all the bureaucracies they (the Democrats) created in the USA since the Great Depression. Bottom line: Democrats spend other people's money and build bureaucracies. This is their lasting legacy. A vote for Kerry, and most other Democrats in fact, is a vote for expanded government.

ah come on np...
if Jesus voted today, we all know he wouldn't vote for the RINO party or any members thereof, unless they called W and the RNC 'rovian rinos" or worse.

NOPE if Jesus were to vote, he would only vote for non rinos and even better, Constitution party candidates.

Haven't reviewed that to comment on. I'm still dazed by the cosmic implications of "It's poop.".

I don't agree with the statement being quoted to me, but the flaw in your argument is in confusing the various usages and sundry customs of a religion, which only the adherents are expected to observe, with religious morality, which everyone is expected to adhere to. We all impose our values onto everyone else, all the time. It's not a question of whether we should or not, but which values will prevail?

That one person holds a different value from another is no reason to try to claim that values have no place in our system of self-governance, for even self-governance itself is a value, based on this modern and unheard of idea that people have intrinsic worth and value by virtue of the selfless act of a loving God.

Is the Constitution Party, or any political party for that matter, the vehicle to align our public lives with the will of God? No. The law is not a religion. The law cannot give one a conscience. We need much more than merely human laws in order to have a healthy, functioning society. Yet the law does have an important role to play.

What?!
I missed that one somehow.
*chuckle*

Check out the analogy in post 252.
There's something glaringly wrong there.
