LOOK FOR THE UNION ***HOLE
Here's the deal with this photo. The union goon on the left is basking in the glory of tearing up the Bush/Cheney sign of the little girl now crying on her poppa's shoulders.
After becoming one of Yahoo's most blogified photos of the day yesterday, the men in pajamas got a rare concession from a union official yesterday:
Statement from the General President Regarding the Events in Huntington, WV
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades believes in the fundamental right for civil discourse, freedom of speech and activism to support our candidates and issues.
What happened in Huntington, West Virginia yesterday is an affront to everything we, as a union, pride ourselves to represent. We extend our apologies to the Parlock family, especially Sophia, for the distress one of our overzealous members caused them.
I have personally taken steps to address this issue internally, and will take immediate disciplinary action to the full extent allowed under U.S. Department of Labor regulations and the constitution of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
It is my hope that this incident reminds all of our members that every last citizen in this country has the right to express his or herself freely. Not one single one of us has the right to tell them otherwise.
General President James A. Williams The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades
Yeah, OK great. No stonewalling, no spin, record time. But I still call bulls*** on this one.
You see, the name of the father and little girl in the picture have been widely noted by the news media, the union, and the outraged, yet the identity of the asshole from the International Brotherhood of Child Traumatizers has been kept a bigger secret than who gave Dan Rather the bogus memos. Why can't we know his name? Did he have sex with Kobe Bryant or something?
ROFLMAO - If I find his name and address I will forward to you, but you must promise to let me know when you're going so I can come watch!
Sorry, didn't realize it had been pointed out. Note to self, read all posts before being an idiot. I thought the same thing when I first saw the picture, but there's another pic. taken after this one where the boy and the dad have the same expression on their faces ... it looks to me like: "wish I had a gun."
Yes, thank you. I assumed that when I saw the huge AP logo on the story.
It didn't even occur to me that the boy might be with the father and girl. And it really bothered me that the boy would want to participate in the assault. As you probably realize, I feel pretty stupid for making a nasty comment about the boy - but am glad that I was just mistaken.
There is an article in the drudge archives that shows a photo of Parlock's family and the "thug" does resemble his oldest son. This is also the fourth time they have gotten media coverage by being abused at rallies, including being interviewed when shots were fired at the RNC. I'm really starting to believe that it was staged after reading the entire story...........Sorry.
Oh, don't feel stupid. Like I said, when I first saw it I thought the kid was balling up his fist at the father and daughter, too. But it turns out he's just a good big brother doing exactly what I would expect my oldest son to do - protecting his younger siblings.
You see a big-brother ripping-up his baby-sister's sign in that photo? All of their apparent emotions are fake?
Given your sign up date I'm not surprised ...
I think it's the way the father appears to be turning away from his son that got me.
