Praying with you and understanding the loss. We know it is coming and we know they are at peace with the Lord, but the pain still exists and it hurts so much to say goodbye.

May all of your family draw near our Creator at this time and know that He has everything well handled.

BTW, I share your dad's birthdate of October 19; just a few decades later. : )

As they say in radio lingo. Your Dad has become a silent key. Dementia which grabs so many elders is sad because they are put in a position they cannot control. Gods love.

God Bless you and your family, RaceB. Alzheimer's is a terrible way to go, and I'm glad your Dad has been released.

We lost my Mama a month ago, and we had prayed for the last 7 years, since she'd been diagnosed with Alzheimers, for God to take her as soon as He was ready. Thankfully, she died peacefully, in her sleep in the nursing home in which she had lived the last three years. She had not gotten too bad with the disease at the time of her death. She still remembered all her children, and most of her grandchildren. She also remembered her siblings and some nieces and nephews when they'd visit or my older brother would take her to reunions.

They're in the Loving Arms of God, now, and we'll see them again.
