Not only is Bush a war criminal, but he also mispronounces “nuclear”! Moore can’t choose between moral indignation and petty snobbery.

IIRC, so did that paragon of humanity, Jimmy Carter, and he is a "nucular" physicist! I wonder why Moore left that out?

Michael Moore has much more in common with the American radio broadcasters known as Lord Haw Haw and Axis Sally. He is a traitor to this nation and should meet the same court ordered fate.

Yes, Joe. There actually WAS a time that we visited death and destruction on a country which supported a butcherous madman and people like you didn't whine and shiver about it.

Apples and oranges. Moore has reached maybe 15 million or less people (mostly the already converted for one time in one year, while Rush reaches 20 million every week who go back to their jobs and talk about what he said. And the audience is not just the true believers. Tom Daschle noted that Rush's audience is broad and includes Liberals. He was shocked- and that led to a full court press for a counter to Rush.

And let's face the real truth. Moore comes from a position of hate and a disregard of the truth (propaganda in its true sense) while Rush has to be right or every error will be broadcast on the evening news, since the liberal press is out to destroy him.

I am actually happy that Moore is enjoying his success, for this kind of closed loop adoration will push him into greater deceptions and eventually destroy him. Bush will win and that will set him off totally, for "whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad".

Get ALL of the media out of Iraq and finish the darned thing. It would take less than a month.

If $$$ at the theatre box office is the standard, then the porn industry should be running campaigns. Come to think of it, the actions of many elected officials woud be more appropriate there!

I don't think Rush and moore are a good comparison, but they are an excellent contrast.

In a way, I'd rather see the left directly associate itself with Michael Moore. He's too easily proven wrong and obviously an outright lier. In addition he's a total scumbag, which makes him remarkably compatible with DemocRAT interests. They were made for each other.

Christopher Hitchens (not a conservative, but on our side on the WOT and the presidential race) completely destroyed Moore in a debate about 6 months ago.

How nice it would be if we had a time machine and could transport Moore's corpulent butt back to, say, 1943. He could make a movie decrying FDR as a war criminal, following which he could make a trip to, say, Georgia, whereupon there would be no Moore no more.

Yeah, I've been hearing this spin from the libs at work for about 6 weeks now.

MM deals in propaganda comprised of outright lies and half truths at best.

Rush simply comments on or reads with little comment the words and deeds of liberals that have been published, shown in MSM. His parodies are what they are - certainly not purporting to be "documentaries".

Definitely just alike.

But then how would the libs parroting this line know - you can't bribe them to actually listen to Rush.

"that paragon of humanity, Jimmy Carter, and he is a "nucular" physicist!"

As I recall that turned out to be a lie.

Yes, but AFAIK, Moore has never agreed to debate a *conservative*. Hitch is a pro-War leftwinger.

What part is a lie?

I remember a speech he gave where he used the (incorrect) pronunciation of "nucular."

And according to his biography, Adminral Hyman Rickover chose him for "nukes," and took graduate courses in nuclear physics. Here's a bit from his presidential library bio:

attended Georgia Southwestern College and the Georgia Institute of Technology, and received a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1946. In the Navy he became a submariner, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets and rising to the rank of lieutenant. Chosen by Admiral Hyman Rickover for the nuclear submarine program, he was assigned to Schenectady, N.Y., where he took graduate work at Union College in reactor technology and nuclear physics, and served as senior officer of the pre-commissioning crew of the Seawolf.

While he may never have worked as a physicist, his background in engineering and nuclear physics should have taught him at one time or the other, the correct pronunciation of the word "nuclear."

My apologies sir. I remember hearing that he was not in fact a nuclear physicist. I should have been a little more specific.

Tokyo Joe, in a nutshell:

... the Bush tribe, including Vice President Dick Cheney, certainly has a knack for combining its own business interests with public service. The 9/11 horrors do seem to have come at a remarkably convenient time for those interests; all that was needed, as Moore tells it, was to forge a propaganda link between the terrorists and oil-rich Iraq. But Moore ignores another key interest: the Israeli-neocon eagerness for “regime change” in Iraq.

BTW, in 1981, West Berlin and Köln had been thoroughly rebuilt. It was only in East Berlin that ruins were left intact until the end of the Cold War.

Who never did anything like, oh, bomb the $#!t out of London on a daily basis.

Sobran is fast approaching the Michael Moore level on my affection scale, with this one.
