Saddam Hussein sponsored terrorism against US allies like Israel. Under his regime, Iraq was a terrorist state. This included Al Qaeda, who directly attacked the United States, and had training bases in Iraq.

According to all of the evidence and intelligence, this terrorist regime was amassing weapons of mass destruction.

This is a war on terror and Iraq was a terrorist state. If we don't bring the war to them, they will bring the war to us.

I'm sure the writer supported Adolf Hitler too. Germany didn't threaten the US. Neither did Tojo's Japan.

And what about that "Rape of Nanking". Don't bother this guy about it. He'd just as soon let it go.

Maybe we can talk about the murder down the street? After all, it didn't happen to his family. Shouldn't bother going after the murderer. He might threaten you next.

How many times does it have to be repeated. Hussein was firing missiles at our pilots when we went to war against him. If firing missiles at american troops doesn't count as threatening behaviour, what does?

Yes we should just sit here in America and watch as genocide is being carried out & do nothing. Why send food to people who are going to be killed anyway lets stop all foreign aid, and let people bound for genocide starve, . OK now that we have decided that lets stop even talking about the bad things going on in the third world , after all if we arent going to do anything why even speak of it. Lets just ignore people like Saddam until we have so many of them out there they attack us.

One of the reasons I was against our war with Iraq, and still am, is because I agree with something very wise that John Quincy Adams said in 1821. Referring to America, Adams said of our country: “She goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy."

Yes Adams did say that. But eight years later he wrote of conflict between Islam and the West: (John Quincy Adams on the War We Are In)

Adams feared that Western statesmen failed to appreciate the Christian roots and context of liberalism. In America and increasingly in Europe, religious freedom had found fertile soil in the Christian notion that religion is primarily about belief and only secondarily about action. Hence, people could be left free to think whatever they wanted so long as they submitted peacefully to the laws. Islam is different; it is fundamentally about law, not about belief. The wish of Islam is that the whole world follow the Law of the Koran. Finding a genuine idea of toleration in a religion that is about law and wants to be universal would not be easy, Adams argued.

No evidence he threatened America, yet the first WTC bombers came into this country using Iraqi passports. Ramzi Yousef, leader of that attack, came into the US using an Iraqi passport, as well as 3 of his "comrades". Now if you are going to forge a passport, why the hell would you choose Iraq of all places? Why not Israel or some other US friendly nation? Why would you choose Iraq when your not even an Iraqi? Oh that`s right, it`s called money.

Saddam was a threat not only to the US, but the world. If these guys want to vote for someone else, fine, but these damnable lies they are telling are just despicable. Find something else to bash the President for you leftist anti Americans.
