VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.

There are some good folks over there (at LP), the problem is that the site is run by some less than honest 'tax freedom' grifters that want to sell you bogus claims on tax avoidance, and then want to sell you more and more bogus claims on tax avoidance, and sell you more and more and more. While I loathe some of the posters, only Liberty Forum actually allows people to post without the fear of being banned by an over-anxious moderator, however because of that fact, some really noxious folk are there, but I just ignore them, because I can.

Summary on Liberty Forum: "JOHN DEERE'S forum gets far more hits than Liberty Post but Freepers don't like it because they say it is anti-semitic. And it has to be said, the Middle East flame- wars on LF are not for the faint-hearted. While I have no reason to spend any time there, and don't, I don't think it's a bad thing at all, that there are successful spin-offs from FreeRepublic, of folks who just can't get along / don't like it here.

The Freedom Underground folks are just the wussies that left LP because they were against the war, and had no arguement to back that up. Once posters started challenging them and actually asking them questions, they up and ran. Now, its fine that they have their own site, however they only let posters with their ideas post there, which is fine, but its just a whackjob back patting society there.

Dales you are not telling the truth about the Anarchy thread.

First I got you guys involved in that discussion to keep you busy and not out banning Freepers left and right. It worked for about a half a day. : )

Secondly that thread was posted on a moderator board that Freepers could not read.

The arguement was whether anarchy simply means zero government control or bomb throwing socialism as you and MsAntiFeminazi insisted. Jim why don't you post that thread on FR or here and let's see who is telling the truth?

One mod even ask me. on that thread if I thought the Freepers would enjoy the discussion. I said the Libertarians would love it. It was at that ponit JR said he didn't want the discussion on the main forum.

Post it JR and prove me wrong.

I was wondering about THIS too.......scientifically, of course. What HAVE been the time periods required in the past to raise the necesssary 'moo-lah'?....OR HOW ABOUT....$$$ raised per day during a fund raiser? {{Forgetting about the absolute amount raised, which changes upon occasion}}.....By the week?

Just for the record, I'm doing $25/quarter, $100/year. C'mon people!

It is, but sometimes I think that the reason is they seem to feed on each other's misery over there, and one just gets caught up in it ya know? Whereas here, we all know that for a series laugh to break the tension, we just punch in Chad Fairbanks at the search, and get a great big ole laugh or two!

I'm not one of the movers and shakers but this site is an awesome place to be. I have been quoted a time or two and am glad to be a part of the big picture.

It's dissappointing to see the animosity that surfaces on every fundraiser.

It makes you wonder also if trust can ever be built among friends again and differences buried for good. I can only hope that after this last bit of dumping by BADJOE that he can put it to rest for his health sake.

My other regret is that I can't give more, keep up the good work.
