My late father was a John Bircher. I learned all about "the conspiracy" while still quite young. Of course, back then, in addition to "fedgov" we also had "comsymp." "Chicom" is one of those old terms which still has some air play, thanks to Rush.

BTW, the early steeping in conspiracy theories led me to the eventual conclusion that the Swiss are trying to conquer the world. For a sizeable donation (in gold -- none of that "fiat" scrip for me), I'll be happy to share my reasoning.
