VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE
LibertyPost.org | 10/10/03 | BADJOE (Slightly revised by JimRob)

Edited on 10/10/2003 2:27:00 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And Jesus loved Peter, but nevertheless said to him --->Mat 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Don't forget John 13:35, "By this all men shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

"Intelligent design" is a version of evolution, a subset of theistic evolution.

Indeed, Christ was harsh with Peter when he suggested that the prophesy of His suffering ought not be fulfilled. I wonder sometimes if modern day Christians inadvertently work against the will of God by resisting things which may also be a fulfillment of prophesy.

Christ was also harsh with the money-changers. But mostly Christ was harsh with the Pharisees, especially in Matthew 23. The Pharisees really wanted to do righteously. I suspect that was their problem, i.e. doing instead of being. At any rate, even Pharisees are not a lost cause. Paul was a Pharisee.

Nevertheless, the overarching commandment is the Great Commandment upon which all the law and the prophets hang:

Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. - Matthew 22:36-40

"Keeper of the Clinton flame?" "Defend our hero against this scurrilous attack?"

Well, that does explain the never-ending Koolaid drinking lobotomoids, doesn't it?

Indeed, what a beautiful verse! It follows the Great Commandment in the Gospel of John. I repeat it for emphasis:

By this all men shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

The love that John has for Jesus flows through his Gospel. It exhilarates me every single time I read it.

I think you miss Jesus' point. The 10 commandments are 2, love God and love man. If you follow those 2 commandments you fulfill the 10. The Pharisees loved themselves more than others.

I've been willing to post with civility for some time- even to those I've warred with. But, the last time I tried that the next afternoon I got a warning from JimRob that I was in danger of iminent banning. As long as certain people are allowed to call other's "trolls" at will for discussing issues they may not like (such as when I discussed the moral implications of a worldview that does not include God [all morality in such a system would have to be subjective since it is made by human beings and changes from place to place]), or other names, place people on "Virtual Ignore" while still bashing them ("there is nothing more pitiful than a tractionless troll"- PatrickHenry; "SLIME"- PatrickHenry)- and as long as one is permitted to post slanderous accusations misusing Scripture against other people - such a suggestion will not work. It's a nice idea, but the only way things will be put under control is by equal treatment. I've pointed out where the problem areas are. There are many evolutionists, including some who have agressively posted against me on this thread, that I do not lump into this category. In fact, most of the evolutionists I can at least have some hope of carrying on a civil discussion with. That's most. As for A.G., simply posting to her is deemed harassment or stalking - regardless if what you are saying is a personal attack or not. Shoot, one time, AFTER OUR STRONG DISAGREEMENT, Alamo Girl made a comment that I was trying to back her up on. She just kept me on virtual ignore. She was the one who has held on to things to the point that when I posted to her earlier this week, just posted to her (disagreed with her but didn't call names or anything) I got THE WARNING. So, Dales, I wish it could work but I don't have any confidence that it would. I've thought about the suggestion, but will just post as I've always posted and hopefully will remain here. If not, that's the price I'm willing to pay. I'll repeat, unless you all have removed something I've said on this thread (haven't checked) I've never had a post yanked. I'm not an abusive poster - but I do stand up for what I feel is right. That gets me labeled "holier than thou", but so be it. At least I'm not throwing up scripture on every thread calling other Christians "false prophets" and implying how my posting actions have been blameless and without sin.

Thank you for your post!

The Pharisees loved themselves more than others.

Indeed. My brother had a challenge he would use to make that point to modern day "Pharisees." He'd ask a person to write down the most important things in their life, in sequence. Then he would write down what that person's life showed was the most important, in sequence.

Well, I guess I would not like for him to rate the important things in my life, since the most outwardly visible activity occupying most of my daily life is sleep.

As much as I think Rudy made a good mayor, I would prefer him as far as possible away from where he could influence the abortion debate.
