Why don't creationists publish?

Recently, Dr. Wolf-Ekkehard Loennig, a JW working in a leading position at the Gene-Science-Department at the Max-Planck-Institute, has been banned from the Institute's WebSite for spreading his view about Evolution. He promotes the so called "Intelligent Design".

Max-Planck-Institute calles this Creationism in disguise. They said they ridiculed themselves by letting him keep on. Despite he had the support of his boss, Loennig's WebSite is now gone and subject to investigation.

I am not competent in discussing the topic on this level but I prefer a dialogue to a ban. It seems the Max-Planck-Institute has run short on arguments.

I see lots of publications here.

  When scientists talk about publications, we always mean in peer-reviewed journals. A book is not peer-reviewed, and doesn't count.

  Basically, we're looking for rigorous argument, sources, data, etc. Anyone can write a book, they just need the money to get it published.

You do realize, I hope, that you're claiming modern physics is also unscientific? Randomness is the basis of quantum mechanics, in essence. We've long since gotten past deterministic cause and effect - we now look at probability as the tool for measuring the physical world. Try again.

Surely YOU know that every reputable geologist AND biologist in the world disagrees with this.

No one is saying that you cannot have faith in a god. However, mixing faith with science debases both, and makes both a laughingstock.

The reason that Creationist "scientists" do not publish in respected, scholarly journals and outlets is that their claims have been refuted ENOUGH times to make further considerationn as necessary as further consideration of Marxism: i.e.: a waste of time and ink.

I smell another 1000+ post thread here, with about half of the posts consisting of Mr. Christian's gibberish.

A science website, based on scientific experimentation, would be discredited if someone on that website published something regarding ID.

ID is NOT a scientific theory, therefore to post it on a scientific site, makes the site NON-Scientific.

Therefore, in order to keep their credibility as a scientific site, they HAD to keep this nutball from publishing on their site.

Pretty simple if you ask me.

If the conclusions are the issue, then why ban rather than debate?

He isn't banned; he's merely been told not to use the Max Planck Institute's server for publishing this material. Nothing is stopping him from publishing; indeed, he HAS published elsewhere.

"Intelligent Design advocates" and "creation scientists" don't LIKE the refereed journal process, because it means that other people get to examine their work in detail--and they get ripped to shreds.

I've seen him hang in there for hundreds of posts. It's amazing what the combination of insane fanatacism and no life can do.
