[history]
In an e-mail to her family on Feb. 7, two weeks after her arrival in the Gaza Strip, Rachel Corrie wrote that "no amount of reading, attendance at conferences, documentary viewing . . . could have prepared me for the reality of the situation here."

Alas! That such a pretty girl should die for such an ugly cause.
To: BoomerBob
I think most of us show her the dignity that she denied to herself.

Cynical. But considering that none of her "comrades" leaped in to help her until she was a bag of bones, it's a plausible scenario. And of course, both the Pallies and the domestic peace-creeps are milking her "martyr" status for all it's worth.

I don't support her actions but let me give you a perspective to consider... the difference between Palestinian terrorism and Israeli self-defense is the latter's respect for human life. There is no glory, no tactical advantage gained, no grand payback in the death of this girl. The Israelis don't celebrate when some adolescent Palestinian firing off a machine gun is killed by the IDF, rather it saddens them that the terrorists devalue the life of their own people because they hate their enemy so much. We can acknowledge the futility of her death without debasing ourselves in the process.
She joined with the "peace movement" right after the 9-11 attacks. So, instead of going after Bin laden and Al-Queda, she sought to ally herself with the enemies of this country.
This article should be titled:
"A Top Al-Queda Sympathizer Dead"
To: dirtboy
"This wasn't some helpless young girl struck down in her prime by terrorists. She choose to go to Israel and inject herself into one side of a civil war. The look of sheer hate on her face in the pictures of her burning the flag ... OUR flag - is beyond my comprehension. She is no more a victim than Joey Buttafooco. I save my compassion for the innocent."
Yikes! I didn't scroll and see all the other pictures of her. This is the part where my head turns in to a giant Jackass' head, like the old Looney Tunes cartoons. :-x

Fill me in on what a greener is Rob. I'm guessing its some category of dyke, or a violent environmentalist.
Can we recruit that bulldozer driver & a couple of his friends to work the streets at the next antiwar rally in Seattle?

Reminds me of the ending scene in Naked Gun outside the baseball stadium. Or a scene towards the end of A Fish Called Wanda...

I don't believe this bullsh/t about the bulldozer driver deliberately running over the commie idiot. She probably flailed herself into its path without the driver noticing. Whose word do we have that he reversed back over her, her Pali buddies? Frankly, the word of those people has been proven time and time again to be worthless.

That said, I think her death is sad. Her fault. But still sad. She didn't get the chance to grow up and realize she'd been young and stupid.
To: Blennos
It's a shame that Rachel Corrie died the way she did. It's shameful that she lived the way she did. I think the above statement sums up this matter nicely.

I agree with you. She may not have been the brightest bulb, but she did not deserve to get bulldozed. Those who are making fun of her death should be ashamed of themselves.

We can acknowledge the futility of her death without debasing ourselves in the process.Sorry, but there is a certain justice here. Human shields run off to Iraq ... and then run away when the Iraqis want them to sit at strategic sites instead of civilian ones. And the libs act all shocked when a human shield lies down in front of a bulldozer ... and gets, eh, BULLDOZED! My gawd, how can that happen?
This will be a lesson to the wanna-be human shields still out there - it isn't a game to inject yourself into the middle of conflicts between nations. You can get killed. We were lucky that it was a died-in-the-wool America-hater who bought the farm instead of some wavering, impressionable kid who still has a chance to be straightened out once they get a real job. Her death might keep the wavering, impressionable kid where he or she belongs - in college wasting daddy's tuition money on Pornography as Art 301 classes.

This is really her? And the pic previously posted too? My God...I am speechless. This is certainly more than protecting people's houses. She is supporting terrorists!

feinswine, this idiot is the poster child for the "enemy within". She is an America hater who lives within our borders, burns our flag across the pond and celebrates with those who want us eliminated off the face of the earth.
Her and the whordes of others are no different than suicide bombers. She wants total inaction, which in the long run will get hundreds of thousands of Americans killed. the next attack will make 9-11 look like a hang nail.
I can only hope she is just the beginning.

I take that back....if she jumped in front of the bulldozer and the driver did not notice...then she did deserve it.
