You can retain your integrity without showing blatant disrespect. These people are NOT private citizens when they stand in the legislative chamber.
What they did was wrong, and it was embarrassing to Republicans everywhere.

I am a Republican. I am not embarrassed. We all complain about spineless RINOs. Here are a couple who are principled.
They only made a political statement which is what politicians tend to do. This new tolerance stuff is beyond reason.

It didn't embarrass this Republican.

While continually posting that the actions of the pols was "wrong", you fail to provide anything to buttress the assertion, save your own opinion.
Is it not the right of any American to do just as these pols did?

"What they did was wrong, and it was embarrassing to Republicans everywhere."
If the truth be known ... this is true of you assuming you are a Republican. Clearly you are not a Christian.

it was embarrassing to Republicans everywhere. HorsePuckey.! It didn't,and wouldn't have embarrassed this Republican. In light of the fact that the WTC towers were taken down "in the name of allah." I think what she did was more than appropriate.
The TV shows me pictures of members of the Nation of Islam marching in the streets of America in support of their religion. Not in support of this Country.
I think YOU'RE Wrong.

Which I will say again, they represent CIVIL LAW NOT SHARIAH. In the EYES of the MUSLIM, civil law does NOT apply to them. Therefore, they did not disrespect anyone THEY represent.
Are you a republican?

There not only Republicans they are elected officials that represent the citizens of Washington.

That's a very good point - the legislators were also there VOLUNTARILY!
Actually, they had gone before the public and begged and pleaded for the opportunity to be there. None of them can say they were ignorant in their expectations of what was going to happen.
We used to have this jerk in Northern Virginia - from the People's Republic of Alexandria to be exact - Bernie Cohen. He once complained in a letter to the editor (Washington Star) that he was always offended at the sound of Christian prayer.
He was referring to the custom of bringing in various ministers, etc. to the Virginia legislature to pray (presumably for their forgiveness). Most were Christian, and sometimes a Jewish guy would be there, and maybe a Buddhist, and so forth. But it was ONLY Christian prayer that bothered old Bernie.
All men and women of goodwill felt Bernie to be a bigot - and possibly even a bit dangerous, but they did not confuse Bernie with all Jews.

Some thoughts:
...What would the reaction of demonrats and the press have been if a Baptist preacher asked "God and Jesus to bless this assembly?"
...If Allah is just another name for God, why does every blasted Islamic cleric have to switch to Arabic in the middle of a prayer prayed in English just for that single word?
Think about it.

This reinforces the incorrect stereotype of us as hateful, racist, bigots. Similar to how Trent Lott was condemned so should this be condemned.

It doesn't embarrass me. I would walk out on this guy as I would walk out on a Christian Identity pastor.
