It's unneccessary to ping someone to a thread they're on already. Obviously, you haven't seen me flame anyone, if you call that a flame. ;-)
Maybe the libertarians aren't complaining? They should know a moderator isn't going to babysit each and every thread to see who's misbehaving or not. You gotta get their attention by saying something
2trievers, regarding your opinion of lack of evenhandedness by the mods: Are you being ignored after complaining about posts that should be pulled, or do you just see things that don't get pulled that you think ought to? I think the statists are, by their nature, more apt to complain to the mods about what they consider inappropriate posts, just as libertarians are, again, by their nature, less likely to push that "abuse" button.
Allright Jim Rob...You've had plenty of time to digest my suggestions of allowing anonymous tracking of AM's. You have never acknowledged my existance, although I've tried to support you consistently...What about my suggestion, or have you decided not to take me seriously despite the fact that I have solicited feedback on my posts in the past to no effect. What is this sink or swim with no rules land?
I'm seriously trying to work out how to fix this country whether you personally believe I AM or not...But I'm looking at a bunch of people who are going to WALK WITH THEIR MONEY if you don't start providing more objective data on why posts and threads get deleted...If I get banned...I hope people remember that I've tried repeatedly to get feedback on what to do to help this movement...I WANT CHANGE IN THE US POLITICAL SYSTEM and I'll do whatever it takes to turn FR into a WEAPON to DO IT! If you alienate people by leaving an aura of favoritism and priviledge to stink up this great creation, YOU Sir are shooting yourself AND the cause in the foot and you LOSE my great respect which you have, although you're circling the drain to lose it ALL, today!
You have no point. Just false accusations.
Neither side likes it when we pull their stuff, and neither side likes it when we don't pull the stuff being complained about.
In addition, every poster has a reliability rating that we do see. If a person makes a ridiculous complaint, we can knock down their reliability rating. And if their rating falls below a certain threshold, then their reports get filtered out.
Thanks, AM
That sound you hear is made by several posters employing what is known as the "Golf Clap."
You're just lucky I don't have access to a secure credit card platform to donate to FR directly or buy spiffy Free Republic merchandise - not necessarily inlcuding a BADJOE collector's bobblehead doll, MurryMom Action figure set or the "Boys of LewRockwell.com" creepy card series. Gum? That's for RINOs.
DOH!
They probably complain. But some posters are slick enough to say "Libertarians are just interested in legalizing pot because they are druggies" without directly attacking individual posters. That's what I mean about finding a crease in the posting guidelines.
Think I'll mosey on over to Lib. Org and see if I can start a fight. (It ain't easy being Irish) 24 posted on 7/28/02 3:36 PM Eastern by elbucko.
Go ahead. It is fun .27 posted on 7/28/02 3:39 PM Eastern by BADJOE
Which is it Badjoe? On one hand you condemn the infighting and on another you encourage it. From what I gather, because of the cautic comments from anti-freepers and freepers alike, the site originator moved all such nonsense to a separate forum so that their main site can have honest debate. I think their efforts should be commended.
Just spewed beverage all over my monitor...you really should add a /sarcasm after that sort of post.
I'm reminded of "Father Padilla meets the perfect gnat" - don't know why, but that title just sort of came to me, wish I had that album on CD.
