I’m a big fan of the Cranberries. Dolores O’Riordan had such a beautiful voice.
There was a Filipino band playing at the Seaman’s Club in Fujairah taking requests and my shipmate asked for Zombie. After playing the best version of the song I’ve ever heard, we gave them a hundred dollar bill. Tax free with combat pay had us feeling generous, but they earned every penny.
Absolutely beautiful song and voice to match. The Troubles have been an onagain/off again topic of personal study for me, and how certain groups co-opted the rebellious nature of the Irish.
Nice sounding, withstood the test of time, with a deep meaning and artistic video.
A+ work.
‘The Violence Causes Silence,”
She had a very beautiful and Irish voice.
Loved that song in particular...
Great song, voice, video. Thanks for posting.
Dolores O’Riordan, you are missed.

Ireland was neutral during WW2 and many fliers ended up there from both sides. They were allowed to leave the camp if they signed a form saying they would return. There were several escape attempts that ended with severe beatings by the Irish guards.
