Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) announced on Sunday that he would be “introducing federal legislation to make the Pride Flag a congressionally authorized symbol.”
In a post on X, Schumer criticized President Donald Trump for attacking “not just the LGBTQ community,” but everyone who cares “about pride and equality” in New York City (NYC). Schumer added that he was “proud to stand with” people such as New York State Rep. Tony Simone (D) and New York State Sen. Erik Bottcher (D) to make his announcement.
“The Stonewall Inn is sacred ground,” Schumer wrote. “Last week, Donald Trump attacked not just the LGBTQ community, but all of us who care about pride and equality in NYC when he ordered the removal of the pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument.” …

Schumer is in trouble with the radicals in control of his party. He is playing to that base.
It was a symbol for Christians long before it was adopted by gays. I am deeply offended by it.
I hope somebody adds the Confederate battle flag to the bill, just to be inclusive. After all, the population that supports that symbol is probably about the same size as the rainbow appropriators.
I hope this prick follows Jesse Jackson sooner than later.

There is a Warrant Article in my town in NH that only US Federal and State of NH designated flags can be hung from government buildings.
This is because the local library continues to display rainbow flags. Especially when they are having events attracting CHILDREN. So, my Republican committee got enough signatures to get it on the ballot for the annual town meeting and ballot.
I believe that this is also a law being voted on in the State house in Concord, NH.
So, they want to push this through Congress to make it a Federal law. This way ALL US Post Offices and ANY Federal building around the country will have a RAINBOW flag on it.
Tell you congress critter to vote NO.
