Kerry Kennedy, daughter of former senator and attorney general Robert F. Kennedy, vowed Friday she will “grab a pickax” and remove President Donald Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts the day he leaves office.

2012...I lived in the Arlington/DC region...made my first/only trip to a musical at the Kennedy Center.
Three things I noticed. First, one of the elevators had a sign up (’broke’). The carpet was fairly aged. And the whole look/interior hallways looked 1970ist.
Whoever was minding the ‘store’...was doing a crappy job.

But, Congress (and maybe they did) has to pass legislation to change the name so there may be legal challenges.

It wasn’t just named after him it was dedicated as a living memorial to JFK. There are permanent JFK exhibits and a giant bust of Kennedy.

Sure, toots. It was OK with you to have the Kennedy Center be run by weirdos and commies, squander funds, ruin its programming, and fall into disrepair — but how dare Trump clean house, add funding, refurbish the place, and then add his name.
