I doubt most Canadians are not going to see it that way. They’re going to see a hostile US trying to bully them into giving one-sided terms favourable to the US to please the ‘America First’ crowd at the expense of Canadians.
There is nothing that unites patriots of any country together behind even a crappy leader like being attacked by outsiders.
Trump may well win this trade war and force Canada to come to terms, but the resentment is going to linger for a long time.
It’s already happening. The Liberal party has almost pulled ahead of the Conservatives.
Which is why Canadian leadership handled the Canadian truckers’ strike the way it did. Slap the wife around, a little. Stockholm syndrome works.

Or... the Canadians that do not have a short attention span... that do have a working brain cell or two... and that do remember the tyranny Trudeau imposed on them during the “Pandemic”... might just see this as yet another example of Trudeau’s crappy “leadership style”.
Which essentially means that Trudeau has brought this new “punishment” on them, once again... since it has been proven that leftists (demon/commie spawn) don’t give a tinker’s damn about “the people”. Their only concern is retaining power and increasing and sustaining their own wealth.

Aren’t their current tariffs “bullying” the US at the expense of Americans?
Well, we’re not trying to be liked. We’re trying to gain our lost respect. In geopolitics there are no “friends”, only alliances. Like we had with the USSR during WWII.
