Response from the school:
This is at a private Christian School.
Just say “NO”
The school has no authority over private vehicles.
Do you notice how they specifically say Trump flags and not political flags? Those parents of the students had better be paying attention. There is a problem at that “Christian” school
School property issue?
They have no authority to do this even though a private institution.
To my knowledge it is a good Christian school, so I’m wondering what’s going on with this...probably somebody there threatened to sue...sigh
Fixing my tagline...lol
Rather than using this as a teaching moment on free speech is free even is one disagrees with it, the administrators have taken the coward was and censored free speech because they lack integrity and backbone and are afraid of problems by troublemakers. It sends an entirely wrong message.
Of course they do. Use of their parking lot, in law, is a license and they have the right to regulate users of the license. That said, I don’t have a problem with a private school banning political imagery and items; here it just seems a bit awkward since it’s in pursuit of a rule that hasn’t been issued yet
Not a big deal
If they want to ban all political flags from their premises, I suppose that’s their prerogative, but they only mention Trump flags. Most likely, Harris flags in deep red Alabama are not much of an issue, but nevertheless the statement should have been neutral and not singled out only one candidate.
I hate to say this, but the school most definitely has control over students who willingly enroll and put themselves under the school’a authority. The parking lot is school property, so they can dictate what goes on there. Dress codes, even strict uniforms, are certainly common at these schools.
Even behavior off campus is somewhat under control by such schools. Students and parents have to sign onto a code of conduct when they enroll. This holds them accountable wherever they are.
That said, I don’t like this impromptu policy dictate, either. The effect on the marketability of the campus will prove whether it was a good idea.
i attended and graduated from a christian school... it’s their written rules you must abide by upon entry and maintain to graduate... no excuses...
False.
Do they display the BLM and fag flags?? I bet they do.
true... prove me wrong...
Read the note from the school above.
They are in the process of adding this to their rules.
I occasionally substitute at my son’s private Christian school. I have seen tons of Trump stickers on kid’s laptops. No one ever asked them to remove them. No democrat crap.
