Twist in trial of Trump would-be assassin Ryan Routh in Florida
daily mail ^

The trial for Donald Trump gunman Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, is taking a dramatic twist.

Prosecutors requested an 'indefinite delay' in the trial as they comb through 'thousands of videos' and '4 million gigabytes' of text and audio files.

They also said they've executed 13 search warrants and have seized 'hundreds of items of evidence' including electronic devices.

His trial has been set to begin on November 18, but it could be delayed

Routh pleaded not guilty to several charges, including attempted assassination of the former president earlier this week.

Routh appeared in federal court in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday days after being charged with attempting to assassinate Trump. He has been ordered to remain in jail without bail

He faces five total federal charges after cops said he pointed a rifle through a fence at Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach on September 15.

Last week, prosecutors revealed he wrote a chilling letter admitting he failed in trying to take the life of the former president.

Routh also offered $150,000 for anyone who could 'finish the job' according to the note released by the Department of Justice on Monday and obtained by DailyMail.com.

It was addressed to 'the world' and said Trump had 'ended relations with Iran like a child and now the Middle East has unraveled'.

Attorney General Merrick Garland was forced to defend making the letter public, after Republicans accused him of putting a '$150,000 bounty' on Trump's head

Routh, 58, also had a list of Trump's upcoming public appearances and had googled a route from Palm Beach, Fla., to Mexico.

He is set to appear in federal court on Monday for a detention hearing after the attempted assassination on September 15 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

TOPICS: Heated Discussion
KEYWORDS: gigabytes
Well if he really had 4 petabytes of storage it will take more than his lifetime for prosecutors to go through it.

For example the Internet Archive now has 10 petabytes of storage and it holds:

835 billion web pages 44 million books and texts 15 million audio recordings (including 255,000 live concerts) 10.6 million videos (including 2.6 million Television News programs) 4.8 million images 1 million software programs

I just put together a fun server which has only 261tb of storage, 768gb of ram and 256 logical processors seriously I doubt a random mentally ill unemployed Zeeper could even afford that.

The indefinite delay is because coverups take time.

Sure. You can have an ‘indefinite delay’ of a speedy trial. Why not?

If Kamala wins, he will get a slap in the wrist.
Or even medal.

When I read the headline, I wondered if the story would be the defendant’s sudden desire, need, urge to be immediately cremated, like the first assassin.

They are going to let this bastard go after the election because he works for the government.

He is like the Ray Epps of planned assassination by government.

4 million gigabytes

That is 4000 terabytes or 4 petabytes. There’s no way. My entire company hasn’t accumulated near that in 25 years.

The feds haven’t found a way to suicide him just right the way they want. I sure hope he’s in custody under FDLE and not the feds.

Did the calculations earlier. It would be 2.24 MILLION hours of 1080p video.

As in ALL Federal Cases, once the DOJ and associated alphabet agencies get the Evidence, it coincidentally "disappears" or "self-destructs", to protect Assets' identities, involvement, payments, etc.

"No Evidence Exists" will become the word of the day......

The point of the delay is to get past the election and allow the defense to contrive a defense and mitigation strategy based on mental illness that results in a negotiated plea.

It takes time for the DOJ and FBI to erase the FBI’s involvement with Routh.

Remember that he always just made things up, for example offering 50,000 mercenaries to Taiwan and Ukraine and promising crazy stuff, he also sold one of his houses for $170,000 earlier this year which probably led him to use the $150,000 figure.

“”In a June 2023 post, Routh said he was traveling to Taiwan with the goal of offering 50,000 Afghan soldiers.”

They need to keep the Feds from up North away from this case. If they try to get Jack Smith on it they will lose a slam dunk case ... Jack Smith has lost every case he has been on.

What ties him to the gun?

Is it even operable?

Has the trace divulged the gun’s source?
