Her comments came during a rally before cheering union members marking Labor Day in the industrial city of Pittsburgh, where Harris said U.S. Steel was “an historic American company and it is vital for our country to maintain strong American steel companies.”

“U.S. Steel should remain American-owned and American-operated, and I will always have the backs of America’s steelworkers,” she said. …

Now, if it was a Chinese owned steel company looking to buy, then she’d be ok with it.

What would happen if it’s not sold? Closure? If the planned sale is real, it must be because the company is not profitable. If not, why?

If “I “ am expected to pay reparations for slavery to a 20 year old black male born in 2004vfor slavery that was stopped by white deaths in 1865, then US Steel should be sold for fighting unions in 1886.

The only possible impediments to profitability are draconian regulations and/or taxation.

She’d approve if it was to a Chinese firm.

“U.S. Steel should remain American-owned and American-operated, and I will always have the backs of America’s steelworkers,” she said. …

That is about as vacuous as her other stated policies and positions.

Forgot about that as a possible impediment, but unions have never stopped hostile takeovers of strategic industries by foreign nations before; the de-industrialization of the country happened seemingly in spite of unionization—but of course unions have so far unilaterally acted as impediments to profitability.

You say that like one didn’t cause the other. Unions, so crippled many of the older steel companies they had to sell as they were broke.

The 90’s and 2000’s brought in the bad management types and buyout kings who picked the carcuses clean, but unions are the ones who set them up to fail.

Why doesn’t she take all of Trump’s policies and say they’re hers.

Pretty soon she will come out against abortion.

It all worked together. Consider the ideology of union leadership. No one cause was the primary cause here.

Or at least she’ll praise Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization in some bizarre context.

Of course, if she ever won, no tax on tips bill would be attached to national minimum wage of $20/hr.

Drilling for oil will be attached to a bill that buys an electric car for every American (including illegals).

The wall will be built after all 11 million illegals are legalized to live in the United States and be forced to become US Citizens and registered democrats.

If Japan agrees to sell US Steel to China, Harris will indeed consider that “problem solved”.
