Ncuti (pronounced Shooty) Gatwa, the first black “Doctor Who,” complained, “There’s so much white mediocrity that gets celebrated,” in a new interview.
Gatwa, an LGBTQ* Rwandan immigrant to the U.K., spoke out about a variety of identity-related grievances as the cover model of the “best-selling gay magazine” Attitude for its May/June issue.
When asked about whether he received backlash for being cast as the Doctor, who has primarily been played by white men throughout the decades, he responded that his critics need a better hobby, but also suggested his casting is part of a global shift, “[W]e do see a shift happening in casting, in positions of power and in the status quo. I mean, not a fast shift, things could tip over the other way a little bit quicker, but you see people kind of malfunctioning because things are changing.” […]
After rejecting the pressure of aspiring to “black excellence” to feel loved, he said, “What the hell? There’s so much white mediocrity that gets celebrated; and black people, we have to be absolutely flawless to get half of [that] anyway. So, I’m slowly training myself out of that and being like, ‘No s---. You deserve love just for existing.’” […]
Gatwa also used what some have argued is a slur against conservative, working-class white people, referring to them as “gammons,” saying, “[W]e’ve got to keep pushing for more. Lots and lots and lots and lots more diversity, lots more inclusion on our screen. Lots and lots and lots of it for all you male gammons out there!” …

Then tell me, Shooty, about all the technological and medical breakthroughs that happened as a result of black and minority creativity and perseverance.
Meanwhile, the following were invented or created by us mediocre whites (in no particular order and off the top of my head):
Automobiles and every part that goes in them
Any boat beyond a crude canoe or sailboat
Phones and cell phones
Computers and PCs
TV’s and radios
Anything that flies, from balloons to rocket ships
Anything related to printing
Cameras and anything with a lens, including eyeglasses, binoculars, and telescopes
Satellites and anything related to what they can do
Every musical instrument that isn’t a drum of some kind, and probably most of those
Every piece of medical equipment
Every major construction and housing advancement
Every industrial process
Every farming and agricultural innovation
Every tool that exists
Every medical procedure
Every formidable weapon
Every process related to making clean water available
Every kitchen appliance
Anything useful made with metal, wood, or minerals
The Rule of Law and the Constitution
The list goes on...
White mediocrity: (with apologies to Fred Reed)

Diffie-Hellman, public-key cryptography, and RSA. Et cetera.
Yeah, whites are real mediocre.
That was my problem with the lady Doctor. Felt like she was doing a parody of Doctor Who instead of making the character her own
The tribesman sure checks all the boxes. He stars in a TV show, yet he's still ungrateful. Must be in the genes.
That is true. I have gotten every job I’ve applied for this year. My husband has had a lot of trouble. He gets great interviews, first, second, third— and then nothing. The only thing on his side — although he looks like a a white guy — he is of mixed race AND he’s “handi-capable” because of a serious accident.
He’s really playing up the mixed race/handi capable angle now. It’s infuriating.
Waiting for the black Daniel Boon and his dot Indian sidekick Mingo Patel.
ALL doctors of any color or sexual persuasion must be competent. Period.
That’s a merit based system. Competent to the same standard.
Citizens living in the black community have the right to decent medical care - NOT second rate care because black ‘doctors’ are given a pass and allowed to practice with lower standards. Same with any other democrat victim gouop - they must be held to the same standards.
“Nope. Stopped watching when they made the doctor a woman.”
that was long ago back in 84, but still I liked a few Doctors after that.
I guess this racist sh*tbag hasn’t heard of Fani Willis, Leticia James, or Kamala Harris, not to mention London Breed, Lori Lightfoot, Alvin Bragg, Ketanji Brown Jackson, or Eric Adams.
Every single one of them are incompetent and, at best, mediocre. And those are the nicest things I can say about them.
I was thrilled to find a Doctor Who on TV one night. I really liked the Tom Baker stories and acting. Suddenly, the male actor started deep throat kissing some other male actor. It had nothing to do with the plot. It was just gratuitous and gross. I thought if it was part of the plot, okay. But it wasn’t. It made no sense in the story. “Click.” Never went back.
Now when the artwork/promo for a TV story or movie shows something woke, like a pretty 104-pound woman with a gun, ala James Bond, I don’t even give it a moment of my time. On to the next one.
You’re attributing the Bible to purely human authorship?
Opus?
They aspire to be mediocre, as does “Shooty”.
The death knell for Doctor Who was when they changed the lore of the Time Lords, retroactively causing William Hartnell to no longer be the First Doctor.
Don’t recall that.
[I hire for a job that requires virtually no prior experience or skills. I can testify for a FACT that he is wrong. Blacks pretty much define mediocrity. Less reliability, productivity. They pretty much hold the job until they just stop showing up. Management is reluctant to confront them because of potential complications.]
It was during Jodie Foster’s time as the woman Doctor. Look up “The Timeless Child”.
Well, there is one advantage. If you really want to know where to buy the most kick-ass weed, all you have to do is inhale as they walk by. You almost get high from what is trapped in the clothes. Not supposed to say that part out loud, I am sure....

I think you had a little brain fart there. Jodie Whittaker.
Sorry, my bad
I was a Whovian from 1978 until the day they announced the Doctor was supposedly female. Now I stick with Drs 1-7. I knew after Whitaker got the role, the next one would be black. Similar to what Mark Steyn predicted, the next Dr would be a disabled moslem woman in a wheelchair.
