Houthi attacks on commercial shipping and US Navy vessels in the Red Sea threaten the global economy, endangering the vital Suez Canal trade route. As if 14 such attacks in the past month, and against Israel directly, were not enough, Iran has now joined the fray...
This marks the first time since October 7 that Washington has directly blamed Iran...
Just after Christmas, however, Iran committed the classic “Washington gaffe” – i.e., telling the truth accidentally – when the Revolutionary Guard Corps reportedly described Hamas’s barbaric assault as “one of the acts of revenge for the assassination of General [Qassem] Soleimani by the US and the Zionists”. Hamas immediately denied the linkage, no more credibly than the Revolutionary Guard Corps’ subsequent effort to walk back its revealing “revenge” declaration...
The Biden administration, much of the media, and Iran’s propagandists will probably continue ignoring the reality of who is calling the shots in this conflict. But the evidence is growing inexorably that October 7 was intended to draw Jewish blood to implement Soleimani’s “ring of fire” strategy, with Iran pressing Israel on multiple fronts, directing operations via terrorists and state actors it has armed, trained, and financed...
It has been clear for years that overthrowing the mullahs, , is central to decreasing insecurity throughout the Middle East. Arab funding of terrorist actions against Israel is hard to find today, especially as full, open diplomatic relations with Jerusalem continue to expand. If Iran’s line of credit to the likes of Hamas, Hizbollah, the Houthis, and other barbarians disappears, their ability to survive except in remote Afghan encampments will palpably decrease...

Beware men who love war.
This is typical Iranian propaganda.
They state that it was retaliation for blay, blay, blay but when Hamas specifically asked for help against the JEWS the Iranian clerics said YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.
They will continue to have the Houthis and Hezbolla do the actual attacks because they know the US Navy could destroy their entire economy in one day.
The only reason they have not is because the world economy needs their oil.
“You don’t deliberately put people in harm’s way for no damn good reason”
Correct - the reasons are good, you just don’t like them.
I know people who keep trumpeting dropping gas prices.
For months now, I keep warning them to brace for $200/barrel oil and corresponding gasoline prices.
I usually get dumb looks...
John Bolton shows his mustachioed war-mongering face again? Lindsay Grahamnesty can’t be far behind.
You can almost see him salivating over World War III.
Bolton is a hawk and has been jonesing for a war with Iran for quite sometime now...
I guess he wants to be a military advisor/ sarc
Lindsay, too
I don't know how you can make a statement like that. The "reasons" in most cases turn out to be outright lies.
And the thing that cracks me up about these people is, THEY ARE THE SAME LIES that led us to disaster in Afghanistan and Iraq.
That’s Biden in his standard pose sitting and fantasizing about black kids coming by to admire his leg hairs.
Yep… neocons are “chain smokers” who quickly go into withdrawal if they don’t have a war in which to revel.
Nice meme, by the way.
China, North Korea and Iran are members in good standing with Russia in the New Axis. You fight one—you fight them all—with their allies. The days when we could hit one with overwhelming power are gone. Note, the Yemenis do not target Russian ships. They get a pass. Note, Hamas released all Russian hostages. (All picked up and flown to Russia by special forces—with the Little Girl writing a cute letter to Putin of thanks). Attacking Iran may not be as easy as one thinks—they may have a nuke as well or Russia could sell them one—or North Korea or China—heck, just give them one for free. An attack on Iran may well start WW III—will Russia just let Iran fall? I think not. Attacking Iran is just crazy talk and the Mullahs know it.
It depends on how you define “danger”. If it refers to physical safety then we’re not even close to the most dangerous. Central America...South America...Africa are all very, very dangerous.Do some research on South Africa. People are approached at stop lights by guys with AK-47s...in broad daylight. The lucky ones just have their car stolen...the unlucky ones are killed.
As long as we still allow Muslims into this country from the ME (legally or illegally) our nation will continue and will always be under threat. What cost us thousands of lives and billions of money is the cowardice of this country’s citizenry and politicians on the he mechanisms to stop a war in its tracks. We knew how in WW2 but our yellow spined politicians and citizens don’t have the intestinal fortitude nor gumption to do what is necessary. Lay complete waste until your enemy is on its knees. Because we capitulate during wars, we cost more live than if it were done right to begin with.
The ME will ALWAYS be a threat until we wake TF up to this reality
We go after Iran. We should really bomb them. No boots on the ground. That should be sufficient. The regime is not popular with the Iranian people. We have the capability to bomb them into submission, our MIC is capable of it. But it may take years and it will require lengthy war planning. We may have to pull troops out of Syria and Iraq.
You guys crack me up.
Just like the Taliban and Saddam, huh?
You've spent a lot of time in Iran, I suppose? Or are all the Iranians you know in Beverly Hills?
Didn't work for Germany. Didn't work for Japan.
But sure, why not?
We should preempt. But we won't do that. So Iran will make plans to attack us.
In utopia, Trump will be President forever to keep them in check.
In reality, guys like Obama, Biden and Newsom will become the POTUS.
