A woman claims she is “devastated” after discovering old text messages on her husband’s phone calling her “ugly” and bragging about how he was using her.
Jane Lewis, a 40-year-old from New Jersey, revealed that she was scrolling through her unidentified husband’s phone with permission when she came across disturbing text messages from when the two first got together six years ago.
“I went through his messages to see who he was talking to,” Lewis told Kennedy News. “Him and his friend don’t text that often so I only had to scroll back about 10 messages.” As she quickly scrolled back to the time around the beginning of their relationship, she was heartbroken to read how disrespectfully he talked about her to his friend.

Sucks being lied to.
Especially when you have to leave the situation and reboot your life after all that investment in a bottomless pit.
If she wants to keep the marriage, both of them need to spend a lot of time with a serious marriage counselor.
If they are religious, clergy counseling can help as well.

Me too, I can’t find anything before 2020 on mine, including texts with my brother who still has a flip phone.
Never keep old text messages too long.
There is nothing a good Hallmark card can’t fix.
How completely trashy to put this out in the open. It should be between them & only them. So now, when they get together with friends & family, it will be one giant cringe fest. I don’t understand these people who put their private business out for everyone to see.

Long ago I learned that if you can’t say something nice don’t say it all. As once hurtful words are spoken you never really can retrieve them. Hurtful words are just like the feathers from a pillow released in a strong wind, as hard as you may try you will never recover the feathers.
I think he’s very insecure, and that lead him to say all these things. He married her and had kids with her. Saying what he did is not some kind of flex, except to very insecure people.
And I’m sure he’s gorgeous. Jeeesh.
I did not get the impression they are his kids at all.
She’s only been with him 2 years, total.
I think these 3 kids are pre-him. She is 40 so had plenty time to have 3 kids even wisely and maturely.
I suspect he feels very ugly, no matter what his looks actually are.
I always deletes texts, emails, voice mails from my phone right after viewing or listening to them. I always move photos to my laptop then delete them from my phone.
I have no cloud connections via my phone.
I don't visit any websites via my phone that requires a password, so no passwords on my phone.
My phone is as much a blank slate as I can get it to be.
