Eligible bachelors in the US dubbed “passport bros” are flocking to foreign countries after ditching the American dating pool in search of love overseas — much to the disgust of women on the internet.
On TikTok, the tag #passportbros has scored more than 422 million views, featuring clips of men parading their far-flung lovers online while advertising the growing trend.
The draw of dating abroad, according to unsatisfied singletons in the US, is finding a “traditional” wife. That is, women who are “raised to be good wives,” dress modestly and submit to their partners. Austin Abeyta is just one of many in the brotherhood who flaunts his prowess online, fondly referring to his travels as “the adventure of a lifetime.”

Why is a woman who marries you for a green card so great?
Also, she can take off for her home country with your kids if she wants. Have fun extraditing.
I am sure some of these women are great. But there is no magic bullet.
Why?
I thought they stay in the woman’s country?
So, all woman who come to the U.S. become just like U.S. women, and all U.S. women are the same?
I’m not agreeing with it, but some of these places say the church girls are the worst.
Yeah, and if things go wrong you are not likely to lose more than an limb or two. You won’t be that fortunate should things go wrong with the wife.
I have been married to a Chinese woman for 38 years. We have three daughters.
Cultural, language and connotative issues issues are problematic, even after all this time. But I do not regret marrying her.
I would tell any man thinking of marrying a wife outside of their culture to remember the the admonition in Genesis 2:24 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.”
Leaving your father and mother implies your family, tribe, nation, and culture. This becomes really import if your wife is from another culture.
I had to tell my parents, especially my mother, to back off. I was going live where my wife was happy, even if that meant another country. We lived in Hong Kong for for over 20 years. The two youngest daughters were born there.
I knew a guy years ago that was on his fourth imported wife from the Philipines. Always had them sign a prenup, but he knew that as soon as they got their green card or whatever it was they would be gone.
“Hey - they’re good cooks, great in bed and wonderful women. I figure it costs about $30,000 for the 6 years they are with me. That’s better than leasing a car!”
The number of years is a guess, but I do recall the $30k number and his reference to a lease! And he is still friends with all of them, and the only child he had with the first one. Not for me - but it worked for him.

I think the only magic bullet is to be or become the sort of man who is worthy of being a husband to the wife he is hoping for. No double standard allowed.
It’s not true though. The richest man in the world left his wife for a woman that had one out-of-wedlock kid, and two more kids from her marriage.

Do you remember a few years ago, there was an actress who married a French guy and had a few kids. Then she divorced him, but she someone did something to get him extradited to France, so he couldn't get custody. But he took her to court and was able to bring the kids to France.
So there are no decent women in the U.S. who aren’t Mormons, Amish, or Jewish Orthodox?
It’s more than just the finances. In most of the world, men treat women very badly. At best, they treat them with benign disdain. It’s generally known around the world that American women are the worst wives, and American men are the gold standard of husbands. American feminist don’t like hearing that, but it’s true. You don’t see a mad rush of men around the world trying to find American women.
Also, Americans are about 4% of the world. Why rule out 96% of the women right off the bat for no good reason?
If I were to ever date a foreign woman the first thing I would tell her is that I had no intention of ever returning to the US. That way if it was just about getting a green card she would quickly lose interest in me.
A fellow lathe groupie is always good to find.
