It may partly explain why so many people tested negative for flu and Covid in recent months despite showing symptoms ... It causes a cough, runny nose, sore throat and fever .... babies and the elderly are most at risk because their immune systems are either still developing or deteriorating.

Are we scared enough yet?

I can definitely say that we are scared enough into thinking that every little fever or cough is WooFloo. I have heard it recently from several people who have a fever, stomach whatever, take a Wu test that shows negative, then suddenly feel better the next day, and say, "Oh, thankfully it wasn't COVID."

We’ve heard this story before. I suspect that all the preventative measures recommended by Front Line Doctors for COVID-19 are also effective with this new virus. In my case, sufficient levels of Vitamin D, zinc, and so forth may well protect me. As well as everyone who continues the protocol beyond the “end” of COVID-19.

Until proven otherwise. I’ll believe HMPV scare is FUD until credible clinical evidence surfaces.

My whole family has it. It’s not bad but it lingers and feels like it’s another manufactured virus. We had sore throat, cough, runny nose and aches plus a bloody nose. Seems like it takes it’s sweet arse time to leave your body.

This has been around for awhile (early 2000s), and became a significant problem pre-Covid. I've seen some very sick people with it. It's from the same family (Pneumoviridae) as RSV - so it's an enveloped single-strand RNA virus. It's usually checked for in hospitalized patients suspected of having a viral pneumonia.
