Biden gets low ratings on economy, guns, immigration in AP-NORC Poll

As President Joe Biden embarks on his reelection campaign, just 33% of American adults say they approve of his handling of the economy and only 24% say national economic conditions are in good shape, according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

Public approval of Biden’s handling of the economy remains low in a time of high inflation, a difficult housing market and concerns about a potential U.S. government debt default.

American opinion is also gloomy about Biden’s efforts on gun policy and immigration, with only 31% saying they approve of the president’s performance on those hot button issues.

Overall, 40% say they approve of the way Biden is doing his job, similar to where his approval rating has stood for much of the past year and a half. …

Low poll ratings mattered a lot more when Election Day votes were all that mattered. With massive numbers of ballots harvested from low-information voters who will tend to vote for one party regardless of what's going on in the world, polls matter a lot less.

It doesn't matter what the polls say in late October 2024, let alone May 2023. Trump, DeSantis, Scott, whoever the Republican nominee is - unless he has his own effective ballot harvesting mechanism in place to offset at least some of the ballot dump Biden will get after the polls close, the Republican nominee will lose.

Ballot harvesting is legal in multiple states, and will not be repealed in those states. If the Republicans want to ever win the White House again, they must get in the ballot-harvesting game. Crying about cheating was understandable in 2020 - doing it now, when the rules are understood and are not going to change, is worse than useless.

Lots of things are legal that should not be.

The RINO wing of the Uniparty does not want to “win the White House”, since they already have it through fraud.

No matter how much “legal” ballot harvesting that conservatives want to engage in, they have the Uniparty (RINOs and Democrats) against them in the voting districts of the country that matter, and fraudulently so in spite of so-called legal ballot harvesting which was, of course, not the key factor in what happened in 2020.
