“...and burst in, holding the man in cuffs for 45 minutes before they realized their mistake...”
A. Union hoods unable to read numbers, went to room 113 instead of 725 written on their orders.
B. Unable to read pilot’s credentials.
C. Didn’t realize mistake until 723 guy radioed where the hell are they.

Guessing those agents got an “F” on their training exercise. What is concerning is that there almost certainly was an experienced supervising agent on site. Handcuffs? A 45 minute interrogation? Wonder if the pilot asked for an attorney early on.

Good thing the pilot did not have a heart attack.

The pilot’s first mistake was opening the door.

And this pilot thought staying in Boston wouldn’t get him any more money. Lol.

I’m surprised the FBI doesn’t just keep a spare Buffalo hat in the car trunk, just in case they need a quick cover up.

I’d accept an apology with a check attached with a lot of zeros between the leading digit and the decimal point.

If the pilot was staying at the hotel between flights, the air carrier could also sue. A pilot must meet minimum rest hours between flights. My initial thought too.

Yes, they should file charges against those officers, and this guy should get a large enough settlement to retire.

Pilot is lucky to be alive! In the hands of the FBI.

to 'simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment.' Sounds like a pretty good simulation. Since they will perpetrate a complete cluster foxtrot in the field by arresting the wrong person and letting the real perp through, they have to practice it beforehand. You don't want some half-assed cluster foxtrot when time comes to do it for real

Sue the chit out of the agents and the FBI.The lawyers are probably beating a path to his door, to sue the chit out of them.
