Hosts at Fox News had serious concerns about allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election being made by guests who were allies of former President Donald Trump, according to court filings in a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the network.
“Sidney Powell is lying,” about having evidence for election fraud, Tucker Carlson told a producer about the attorney on Nov. 16, 2020, according to an excerpt from an exhibit that remains under seal.
The internal communication was included in a redacted summary judgment brief filed Thursday by attorneys for Dominion Voting Systems.
Carlson also referred to Powell in a text as an “unguided missile,” and “dangerous as hell.” Fellow host Laura Ingraham, meanwhile, told Carlson that Powell is “a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy,” referring to former New York mayor and Trump supporter Rudy Giuliani.
Sean Hannity, meanwhile, said in a deposition “that whole narrative that Sidney was pushing, I did not believe it for one second,” according to Dominion’s filing. […]
Fox’s counterclaim is based on New York’s “anti-SLAAP” law. Such laws are aimed at protecting people trying to exercise their First Amendment rights from being intimidated by “strategic lawsuits against public participation,” or SLAPPs. …

Tough to win any case when judges won’t allow evidence to come in
How hard do you expect Trump to fight and what tactics do/did you expect him to employ? Please be specific.
And did you examine Powell’s evidence, or are you taking the liberal media’s word for it?
You want Trump to comment on an active case and taint it?
FYI, here’s multiple Dominion cases going on RIGHT NOW. Including one against Giuliani, and one against Lindell.
Where is Trump? Cat got his tongue? Much less his billfold.
Well, apparently a lot harder than you, LOL.
Correct. Instead of judges, we have tyrants in many cases. Last time this happened, we had internecine wars.
I’d like to hear Tucker Carlson comment on this. I’d be disappointed if he believed the fair election lies.
LOL the king of wisecracks is scared to comment on a court case all of a sudden? Are you trying to be funny?
not sure what you’re getting at. but i think the correct answer is that none of them lied. you could argue that they were wrong but believed completely what they were holding to.
but not that they lied. you lie when you can get something big or keep from losing something big by lying. not when you stand to lose everything you have by lying including your business, your freedom, your reputation, etc. by going up against power and influence.
the smart lie is and was always to lie that there was never any election fraud by dominion, es&s, etc. that way you gain by acceptance with the group in power: the ruling class elite that have control of our elections through many means.
so fox news is more likely the lying conspirators with dominion then true opposition. otherwise, they’re just clueless, which is harder to swallow. imo, dominion is partly gaslighting, helping fox news with their clueless viewers by suing them for show. they don’t expect to win. but losing is also a win for them and fox. and ultimately they are on the same team. if they win, it’s icing on the cake. and deep pockets fox can pay them off.
Red herring. Who said anything about commenting on a court case?
You keep changing subjects too much. Have a nice night; you need the rest, I think.
What I am getting at is that the headline says the Fox hosts doubt the election was stolen, but the article says that they had problems with Powell’s claims.
You can doubt the ekection and doubt Powell’s claims. It is not a choice of one or the other here.
In this case she has NOT been allowed to demonstrate her evidence in open court. Not allowed… hasn’t happened.
They were right about the idiotic Sidney Powell, Ms Kraken.
I’m not asking about Powell. I’m clearly asking about Trump.
Where is Trump with his big mouth, and his fat wallet, while Dominion is suing his activists for defamation? A billion dollars each, they could be completely wiped out.
He’s cowering, apparently, afraid to say a word when it actually counts.
And as for Powell, here’s the last I heard of her on this matter...
Sidney Powell tells court “no reasonable person” would take her voter fraud claims as fact
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sidney-powell-dominion-defamation-lawsuit-voter-fraud/
Lawyers for conservative attorney Sidney Powell told a federal court on Monday that “no reasonable person” would conclude her unfounded claims of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election were statements of fact as she fights a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems.
This from a news channel that called Florida for Gore in 2000, before the polls had even closed in the Panhandle, and called Arizona early in 2020. Fox News conducts its own voter fraud.
“Why isn’t Trump commenting in Dominion, instead of freaking Rihanna?”
Why can’t he comment on both Dominion AND Rhianna? Better yet, why is it so important for Trump to speak more about Dominion, in particular? Trump has made it very clear that he believes the election was stolen. He talks about it loudly and often. What effect do you think speaking publicly about Dominion specifically, would have? Do you think it would somehow effect the outcome of the current court cases in which they’re involved?
Selected quotes. Driving a wedge further in.
Of course. Consider the source.
As if being on FoxNews meant you’re a firebrand Conservative.
All it means you’re less likely to be a mindless, liberal drone, like nearly every other network
