Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) couldn’t name one specific thing that Democrats should cut from the budget for future spending when challenged to do so Wednesday on “CNN This Morning.”
Meanwhile, when asked whether President Biden should negotiate on the debt ceiling, Durbin said, “absolutely not.” […]

“Well, of course that’s true, but the fact is there’s been political gamesmanship when it comes to our debt ceiling over the last 20 or so years, and we’ve got to bring this to an end. We shouldn’t put the economy of the United States in peril, because we’re in the midst of preparing for a presidential campaign,” Durbin said. …

We wish that were true, but state and federal government spending accounts for 44 percent of the nation's GDP.
We need to increase oil and gas exploration, crude and finished product pipeline distribution and refinery capacity and shrink government.

That is $4.6 trillion plus another $1.7 trillion = $6.3 trillion in the first 2 years of the Biden occupation.

Durbin realizes that without pumping tax payers money into the economy it will collapse. Durbin’s expertise is legislation that forces children to get a license to open a lemonade stand, that is all this clown has done since being in office.
But before it is spent it is taxed. GDP goes down 3% for every 1% it is taxed. You can’t possibly believe that money benefits the economy more when government takes it away from the people who created it?
The Democrats don’t like the debt ceiling because it stands in the way of totally bankrupting the American economy.
