The song A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin is being bashed by LGBTQ critics as 'offensive,' with one organization in particular saying the tune helps perpetuate harmful anti-trans stereotypes.
Released as a single by the late Queen of Soul back in 1967, the stirring love ballad is now facing scrutiny - despite preaching positive messages in regards to women and femininity in general.
Leading the charge to have the song nixed is the Norway-based Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance (TCMA), a group started this year and has since made its presence known with a series of polarizing posts on social media.
'Aretha Franklin's 1968 song "Natural Woman" perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes,' the post reads, erroneously listing the song's September 1967 release as coming in 1968.
'There is no such thing as a "natural" woman,' the organization went on to declare, before claiming the song has already 'helped inspire acts of harm against transgender women.'
TCMA said it is requesting the song be 'removed from Spotify & Apple Music.'

How about, I know it’s a silly idea - if they don’t like it then they can just not listen to it.
Women, as a class have joined white men as anathema to the woke culture. They have been relegated to also rans in women’s sports and now they are banned if they speak of themselves as women or sings songs that make something good ov being a woman.
Maybe they should make Aretha record an alternate set of lyrics—

“You make me feel like a completely self-absorbed freak who wastes the life God gave them trying to shock everyone around them instead of doing anything useful for anyone...”

This is at least the third thread on a rather boring topic. Some Norwegians are trying to “go viral” with some juvenile argument and we are all helping them by a) talking about it and b) talking about them.

Actually, there is. But there is no such thing as being able to turn oneself into a "man" or "woman" by hacking off body parts or adding new, fake body parts like a Mr. Potato Head doll.
Trans people are offensive to me.
If they’re offended it just proves what normal people already know, trans ARE NOT women.
They know it too. Truth gives confidence. Confidence doesn’t require screaming and anger.
