A comment by Grandma Barbara Bush to her granddaughter Jenna is described as body shaming and has left a lifelong scar on her psyche. Jenna should have laughed it off long ago and admitted that Grandma was saying the truth about Jenna’s chubby body. Barbara was the one saving grace as I saw it for the weak husband Geo Bush. I would expect and hope that her grandchildren have inherited her strength and sharpness. Both of my grandmothers were gone before I was born but my plain spoken Irish aunt was overly expressive at times and I still am amused thinking about her general comments to me about a number of things. Not necessarily flattering but thought worthy.
>>>When I was an angry teen and got an earring to go with my mohawk hair-cut, my grandfather asked: “you’re not a faggot, are you?”<<<
Omigosh! LOL!!
Well, she didn’t really have a bikini body.
I read a while back that Barbara Bush might have been Aleister Crowley’s daughter. They sure looked a lot alike.
If these people ever lived in a Chinese culture they would shrivel up and die the first day. :)
I love zaftig in women. Got to have a little meat on those bones along with the right kind of curves.
Family of Traitors. GOD how I wish Reagan had picked a better VP in 80.
Does this bikini make me look chubby?
Nope. It reveals that you are chubby.
I talked to a horse’s mouth myself. Hands down favorite President was Reagan. Not a Nancy fan but said the two really loved each other. Liked the Bushes fine, apparently they treated their details well.
The Clintons, on the other hand, were a totally different kettle of fish. Bill was not so bad; Hillary was apparently really nasty and extremely foul mouthed. Very little self control, I was told. I got the impression that her detail really detested her.
My mom said her mom would do the same thing after having my baby sister 😂
Grandma was doing her a favor by letting her know about a potential problem. Looks like she listened.
Nope, no fan of Chelsea, and she could definitely give Jenna Bush a run for her money in the Nepo Baby sweepstakes. Chelsea failed as an on-camera personality, and Jenna is not much better. Both on NBC. Figures.
Strikes me as an attention getting device. Spoiled. Bored. Irrelevant. Looking for validation.
“I heard, from a horse’s mouth, you won’t find anything but praise for Barbara Bush from the Secret Service agents that were assigned to her. After she died, there was a flood of agents who volunteered to stand beside her coffin, on their own time, as honor guards.”
Thank you for posting that. It’s upsetting to hear people trash a good person who tried to impose standards in her family. We need more grandmas like Barbara Bush keeping the younger folks in check. Kids may ignore their own parents but strong grandparents can have a positive impact.
Jenna Bush is jumping on the bandwagon of “poor little rich me” It’s very tiresome.
Holy crap.
Whatever it takes, to try to keep her name out there and be relevant, I guess.
“Me too, I’m a victim, too!”
