Brian Dennehy was there.

LOL, I thought he was dead.

First Blood was actually a well written movie with a good story arc, and character development.

Oh, double flaming horsehocky! That damn movie was the ultimate expression of the mythological "Vietnam Vet Goes Nuts" theme pushed by Hollywood during and after our war. It was and is complete crap - and insulting to boot.

The special effects were hokey, the characters cartoonish, and none of us, anywhere ever imploded like that.

It's capped off by starring Sylvester "I hid out teaching in a girl's school in Switzerland" Stallone.

Complete voyeuristic, comic book crap.

Back in the day, I read ‘First Blood’, and ‘Alien’ before the movies were released.

Both movies were true to the novels.

“Brian Dennehy was there.”

I hear he drove out the out of town folks to the edge of the city.
