Brennand maintained that he only opened fire on Cantu after the teenager hit him with his car. Blatent lie.
They need to put him in jail.

Guy is lucky he wasn’t eating a donut. That would have really pissed the cop off

“They need to put him in jail. “
Can’t... Putting an officer in a normal prison is a death sentence. It is considered cruel and unusual punishment.
So... We need “Cop only” peer prisons.

Yes, that was a blatant lie. If it weren’t for the video, the kid would be convicted of felonious assault on a police officer. And the cop would be getting some sort of award.
(And, yes, the kid was wrong for not obeying the cop’s orders. But not every such response is deserving of a bullet in the back.)

And it was probably a lie about him trying to pull him over too. Closer to the truth, he was trying to show his authority and how big and bad he was to the by standers. And things went south. I would like to see him prosecuted but I don't believe that will happen. He is probably policing somewhere else and looking to shoot someone else.

The ‘officer’ needs to be charged with attempted murder, IMO. He wasn’t hit with the car and he drew and fired against department policy against it (per the police chief). PLUS, he undoubtedly knew there was a passenger in the car.
